I'm probably like the only tournament video uploader who views this service as a competition (I think VGBC also shares the same view). A lot of Smashers don't like that about me

But maybe if there's some that do, even to the smallest degree, maybe I can push them to step up their game? It could be a good thing for other youtubers to bring out there best just like how others brought out my best?
I'll give you this warning: If you ever get into being competitive about tournament video uploading, making all your videos (upscaled to) HD, you're going to need a good gaming rig. Rendering massive videos like that takes forever. Especially when you recorded from 2 devices on 2 different setups. You'll also need a very fast internet connection

But you're only looking for entry level stuff, right? It took me I don't even know how long before I started youtubing like I do now
That's barely below the requirement. Can you upgrade your RAM? Would you be willing to disable some system services to free up processing power? I know a few tricks in VD that'll use less processing power, but you will have to be willing to accept having some washed colors in your videos. And maybe disabling windows visual effects might also cut down on the power requirement

Ok so you recommend the hauppauge over the dazzle?
    ----------
    yes

    ----------
Now that item in the link will work with xP?(btw my comp is a laptop and isn't that powerful) will I run into problems?
    ----------
It will work on XP. What are your system specs? You'll only need a single-core cpu at 2.8 GHz or dual-core at 1.8 GHz to capture video well

    ----------
And that card I should just use virtual dub?
    ----------
    yes

    ----------
So does that hook up the same way as a dazzle?
    ----------
    yes
    ----------
I'm looking to capture wii games.(brawl, mario kart, ect) and I'm gonna be capturing through the red, yellow, white cables(av cables is that what they are called?)
    ----------
    ok

    ----------
A dazzle is what Ill be looking for but on amazon it said that most were for windows 7 or vista.
I ave windows XP and I was wondering if I will have to get a dazzle made for XP?
    ----------
I think I remember seeing a page on their site with a list full of drivers. Iirc they mentioned Windows XP drivers too. If it works on Windows XP or later, it should work on any version of Windows, even XP

    ----------
Can you you just look through amazon real quick and find the dazzle model I would need?
And so when you by them online you don't even need to get software? Is virtual dub much harder to use than the software that comes with it?
    ----------
If you want to copy what I had, here's my better capture card

Odd. I know I remember seeing a $30 Dazzle card at a Best Buy 1 time but I can't seem to find it on Amazon. I was hoping to recommend you that model and save you like $13. If you can't find it either, I'd recommend getting the same card I have

    ----------
Sorry for all the questions but I'm kinda lost >_>
    ----------
    Keep asking
What games do you want to capture?

If you're only going to capture through yellow/s-video cable, pretty much any cheap card out there that isn't EasyCAP will do well. Don't buy a Hauppauge HD PVR unless you're going to capture through component cables. The best video quality on Hauppauge is worse than the best video quality through yellow/s-video cables

Look for the cheapest Dazzle capture card you can find. You don't need their fancy software because the best capture and editing program is open source; VirtualDub
    IKR! D:

Kinda random, is that you in the profile pic? If it is your eyes ere REALLY GREEN O.O I've never seen someone with green eyes before lol :p The most green I've seen in someone is hazel >.>
Yeah Highschool is great, I'm out for summer now though :D
I decided to look for a job so I can finally get a new computer to play Final Fantasy XIV. I've been following it for a while and it seems to be alot better than when it first came out. Theres also a major update coming out around October-November that's going to majorly change alot of it so yeah :p

Hey we should play Brawl sometime, do you have Project Melee? It's pretty cool :O

    Btw awesome avatars XP

Oh I have a 3ds if you want my FC.
(This is me replying to your previous VM)

I like your profile picture on SWF btw. :troll:

Sometimes I wish dogs had a "mute" button/option. (Sometimes I'm sitting around doing something and my dog randomly barks and runs away.)

Yeah, www.cheapassgamer.com or www.redflagdeals.com (for Canadians). Amazon is also good.

Why don't you have one? D:

I still think the best course shortcut glitch is at the beginning of Rainbow Road on the N64 version. :awesome:

And what did you get for your birthday?
(I'll reply to your other VM later)

    Happy burfday, Bricky!!! :tytypoo:
    Oh, I forgot to post back, I've got a 3DS now. :)

I'm not going to be racing online again for a little while, but I'll add you when I do.
I'll hold you to that, my friend. :3

My dog often barks at nothing, I do know that dogs have better hearing than us humans sooooo........

Don't you love finding great deals on video games? I picked up ME3 for $30 only 1.5 months after it's release.

You should, just...acquire it. (If ya know what I mean.) :smirk:

Have I already asked you if you had a 360? If so, get the 360 edition so we can play!!!!

    lol people still try?
Specialist would make Black Ops soooooo OP. Pro challenges would be a sinch.:applejack:

The reload times are pretty realistic. The clip sizes on the LMGs make me never want to stop firing. I walk around firing at nothing feeling like a juggernaut. XD
Steady Aim helps more for dealing damage per target, by reducing the spread by 35%. It helps more on the Stakeout and Olympia, but unfortunately, Black Ops doesn't have Specialist strike package, lol.

Yeah, the reload times on stuff like LMGs add to the drama. Makes you a bit more tentative and careful with your shots, playing your cards for the one shot kill.:applejack:
It's not too bad for a shotgun, I just don't like the clip size. It's pretty much abysmal without Sleight of Hand. You adjust to the rates of fire after a while, it's fine. Took me a while to get used to the difference in bolt times between Black Op's L96 and MW3's MSR. L96's bolt action is much more exaggerated, as is its reload time. Both are managable, though, so it's k. :3
    :applejack:
Probably schoolwork or people are too lazy to check the lighthouse, which is why it's in ruins. :<

Or because of Diablo 3.
Oh, I used to play at my friend's house primarily before I got Xbox LIVE, so I can understand.:applejack:

If you like the Olympia, you may really like the Stakeout. It's a pump action that delivers more damage, and it's incredibly fun on maps that put you up close and personal often. It's among my favorite shotguns, next to the Black Ops Spas. <3
I used to be that way, but I just kept playing with it as my only attachment and the rest came with practice/adapting. It was annoying at first, but then I began to get a better feel for Black OP's quickscoping, and it all followed suit for me. :3

Firing Range is cool, I especially like running Hacker on that map to detect explosives and shoot them through walls. Penetration kills are also pretty fun, so Hardened is a-game.:applejack:
Isn't SMRPG on the VC? (I doubt they'll ever make a sequel...) :(

Let me know if you ever try out the game!

My dog is barking right now.

    Money CAN buy happiness.

And I'm playing Mass Effect 3 and Minecraft on the 360 as of lately, how bout you? And did you hear about the MK7 patch? It's available to DL now!
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Tetris Attack, Advance Wars etc.

Was he happy to see you?

How much do you get for those holidays?!?!?!?!
That's too bad. I might be able to do something Saturday night though.

Just thought I'd ask since I didn't want you or anybody in the MKWii group to think I've forgotten about you guys.
Speaking of emulators, ima DL some later this week and play some SNES and GBA games on my laptop. :awesome: (Thanks for the reminder!) :smirk:

Have you picked him up yet?

How do you afford new stuff then? Parents spoil you? :smirk:
    Is tonight FPS night?
If so then do you want to possibly play some Goldeneye tonight?

I get off work at 8:15pm CST.
