I keep thinking he will be a reveal today; perhaps with some drastic changes.

I think he plays horribly, and has since smash bros original.
He is the s*** in his Island games, exceptionally fun to play as. Smash has done a far below par job at making that play translate, he plays awkwardly, being quite bad at recovery when it is supposed to be his strength, and his moveset does not even cater to his main defining feature of his tongue *I guess the eggs are a part, but that isnt enough*.

I say, he will be today, and perhaps even seem like a newcomer. It would be interesting if he did pair with baby mario... this certainly would either make him more, or less, as a standout of his own series. Even if not this, I'm all for an entire move overhaul; give him some love, sakurai!

Or.. Yarn Yoshi? That style really should be his forever, to make his games their own

The main changes to attacks I've been able to spot:

• Faster down smash
• New jab combo
• New dash attack
• Last hit of Bair is stronger
• Rainbow trail behind eggs

Hopefully these changes help him out!

I've rewatched the thing like 10 times already, F-tilt still the same... but a few minutes later I could've sworn I saw him throwing out his leg like F-tilt in Melee. Weird.
Also ya I see the new jab combo, second kick is halfcircle now instead of same kick in brawl to slap them away.

Yeah, he does the dash attack during the demonstration of Smash Run, right here. It's a running kick instead of a headbutt now. Move over Greninja, the REAL ninja is here to take the spotlight!

So his Dair looks like there's like half a second of start up along with the end of it having a cooldown of sorts. Am I the only one seeing this? 1:01:32.

I see what you mean, but did he have a similar start-up in Brawl also? I can't remember.

No he didn't. The start-up thing is like he winds up his legs and a star pops out (all moves for everybody does this I believe now, but mostly directed to his leg wind up) then his move starts.

Which is important, his adora-bility factor must be accounted for, it was heavily lacking in all other games.

I sort of hope he gets to keep Super Dragon. It was by far one of my favourite Final Smashes. Not even saying that as a Yoshi mainer, it was just fun to fly across the field of battle raining flaming death upon your enemies.

That said if he DOES get a new one I at least hope it's as fun as Super Dragon was to play with, else I will be a bit disappointed.

Also, goody, he's more cuter and characterized than ever before. And looks quite leaner and quicker with his new stances and all. Can't wait to play as him again.

I'm expecting to see Mega Egg Dozer, a giant egg that cannot be deflected by anything but screen edges, will do massive damage to anything it passes over and will go off screen rather than bounce on its fifth wall collision.

I think there is enough difference to mark it as coincidental.

If anything, Smash 4 Yoshi is giving me a lot of Yoshi's Story vibes, artwork included.
