I figured out how I can DR.
I was messing with setups, and I tried the standard L is jump and tap jump off. But then I switched A to jump, and X to attack.
I could never get the two jumps in, and I usually end up doing a shorthop nair (Brawl doesn't register a jump if you're already pressing on another jump button, right? Yeah that's the problem.) But see, now I have three accessible jump buttons. I press Y, L and A, that's three jumps. two of them usually get through. and then since my thumb is already over A, I can almost simultaneously press X, my new attack button.
It's DRing for idiots like me, I feel proud.

lol. The so called "beast" setup was for DR. All you do is slide your thumb down Y to B to the C-stick, and if you pushed all the buttons while doing it fast enough, you'll get it easily.

Look, if we're naming techs by the people who love to abuse them, then we'll call DR the Scat Slide. We can call DJEL Zude Lays, as well.
