^This. Ylink is mad annoying... like.. if I had a way to aavoid all his projectiles.. lol maybe it'd be.. fun... not only does Young Link make the matchup NOT fun.... his playstyle gets into your head... you begin to worr about projectiles.. here/there...

then you get overparanoid about this/that... in our set Laijin played me sooo campy (which is hella smart) but man.. I felt like I could never catch him.... I barely won a game on him... he literally built damage on me w/his projectiles.. then used kill moves....

Y-Link is hella legit... but I don't think i could play him the (correct way) i'd try to be all mad aggro and **** and lose prolly ><

EDIT: Laijin you'd have mad success here in AZ.. you should think about it.. Shiek is gay..

To me, Young Link is the most fun character to play for me. I love baiting people into projectiles and bombs and comboing off of them. Feels absolutely amazing. I don't get the same feeling with any other character in the game.
People don't understand that, but I guess it takes a certain person to play him. haha
I've been considering moving to the west coast anyways. Probably not AZ, but maybe SoCal.

LMAO, so far, I dont think YL is all that annoying. I remember I had to ask Rhan to play gayer lol. Cuz at first he was just approaching cuz he said he didnt want it to be boring, and I just ran away and threw shadowballs lol. Yeee!

If YL had purple energy, teleports, a long tail, hella attitude, and a good WD I would def main him ^__^

armada did what was necessary : ) thats why i enjoyed the match so much. i think all of us have way more trixies with ylink than he ever used, but that's why it was beautiful to watch. he just did what was necessary to beat THE BEST puff, which obviously wasnt much.

Yeah it's like watching the two players who just do what's necessary to win instead of winning with style. It's the basics of this game that makes it so interesting to see what's needed to win and what we do to keep us level headed.

I don't know why you think Fox is easier to handle. IMO, once Fox gets in, it's curtains.

Falco you can usually find a loophole and get away from him.

Against a good Fox, it is. Unless the fox isn't so good, then its comboz for days with Young Link.

Literally all of YL's options are much slower than Fox's best options once he is in. Young Link also is unable to really run away too well =\
Like I said though, you have a chance to **** if the Fox isn't that great.

tl;dr: I hate fighting Fox.

Basically. Your only option is to Z-drop a bomb since its 1 frame and run the **** away. Without a bomb...its gonna be tough.

Vs Fox you gotta be more aggressive then usual.. It's not really about camping him it's more about getting him off the stage. Hard but easier then Falco. The only part that sucks is that Fox's lasers can shoot our bombs.. -_-;

i do agree with that. even if fox's options beat ours, beating fox with any character is an uphill battle and it's more about establishing momentum by winning the exchanges. a few good punishes kills a fox with any char, ylink is fast enough to create those opportunities.

i find falco harder too

but im gettin better at both matchups, we'll see how it ends up

sheik and marth are mad hard too, even if i dont feel as suffocated as i do against fox/falco.. just hard stuff

Thats probably it. Also. f-smash mind games. It tested it out at Pound 5. It WORKS. Everyone just stands there and shields out of fear haha

Either two things will happen at this point:
1. They will continue to shield. If you read this you can delay it and then attempt a grab after the animation
2. They will let go of their shield after awhile, at the last moment you have to press A. Press it. And it will connect. I caught so many people off guard with this.

F-smash mindgames are lulz. Especially since f-smash can KO well.

Fox is better against YL than Falco imo.

it's debatable who is harder between fox and falco.

even fox and falco themselves.

Fox is harder because like all of YL's hard MU's. Fox can out run him, and stick on him very easily without any problems. Falco is pretty slow moving horizontally. You CAN out run him and out maneuver him. Throwing bombs over his lasers and such works too. That, and his recovery is worst and he is easier to gimp.
Those are the main reasons its easier imo

i see. i think most of the reason why some might say falco is harder is because of laser lockdown. even if ylink can escape/stop it, falco can still maintain offensive momentum very easily and then ylink can get combod even with good DI. good DI usually means we are moving away from the center of the stage, which is better still for falco's position.

fox and falco are equally threatening IMO hahah. i'll have to play more of them to know which one is harder but... doesnt really matter that much. spacies will always be a struggle hehe

Falco can't lock you down with lasers (at least not to the point where you can't get away from him because of it). Ever heard of jumping out of shield -> run away on platforms? :D

Man this YL v Falco/Fox discussion.. I'll have to give my input on both sides how I view it then. Falco is OMG broke. Laijin you see the Falco I have to practice against... >_>
