Go listen to medicine ball. I don't mean "thug" as in Tupac's interpretation of the word, I mean thug as in someone trying to act tough. Relapse was mostly composed of tracks about Em beating up, ******, or torturing someone. Or someone else doing those things to him (Insane). He still had good flow and delivery, but the lyrics were complete **** for the most part.

Most of Relapse consists of beating, torturing, and ****** defenseless WOMEN. That's hardly something someone would write about when trying to come across as hard. He's simply being the shock artist that he's always been.

True, he is a shock-value artist, but honestly I don't see any quality. There's no "Stan" or "Lose Yourself" on that album. There's no "wow" factor. On other albums he actually had some introspective songs. Relapse is all a bit to redundant for me.

Relapse was a pretty bad album, and this is coming from a big Eminem fan.

His older ones were much, much better. Period.

Drake is sick. He could write lines more complicated than your favorite nerd rapper if he wanted but hes trying to make money on this rap ****. you need to understand theres a fine line between simplicity and complexity that mainstream rappers are forced to walk.
Drake is sick though.

Ditto.

Cormega's work is really undeground so it can be hard to find, but from what I've heard out of him I really like.

For AZ, you should check some of his work with the Firm, a group that consisted of AZ, Nas, Dr. Dre, and Nature (who I don't know).
Also get the song Sugar Hill, off of his debut album.

But yeah I'd like to know more about these guys as well.

It's certainly not Dr. Dre's best work, but I think at least Phone Tap is a pretty good song. Desperados is good as well, with a nice verse from canibus. Overall it's not great but I wouldn't call it terrible.
