So they've finally come crawling back to us? Heh.I thought it said somewhere that Nintendo wanted to aim more at "core" gamers with the Wii U? So wouldn't a change in image be necessary to accomplish that?

So much truth. My parents thought that the 3DS was some crappy remake with a 3D feature on it without actually realizing its actually a next gen handheldYou have no idea how many people thought the 3DS was JUST a DS with a 3D option, and not the next generation of DS's
When I first saw the Wii-U trailer, I didn't know it was the successor because it never actually showed the system. I thought it was a new wii accessory.
I heard they were going to unveil a console, but it was never shown
Well the Mario Galaxy games are good platformers. As for action adventure I hear No More Heroes is good. This is something that I've been thinking about for awhile. It's not that I don't see myself playing any other games on the Wii it's just that I really only want it for Brawl. If Brawl didn't exist I probably wouldn't consider owning one. I know asking this question here may get me some biased answers but I think I'll get a few honest ones as well. Here's some info on me that may help:
- I currently have no other video game consoles (I sold my 360).
- I like action adventure, platformer and fighting games.
- I have a lot of time on my hand (due to personal reasons) so I need something to entertain me for a few hours.
I don't see how tournaments matter, the guy could just play the game with his friends. Or are there online tournaments or something?I was gonna suggest that, but are there even tournies for it anymore? How is the wifi system?
In case he wants to get serious? You never know.I don't see how tournaments matter,
In a day and age where having people come over to play games hardly exists, I would be more concerned about the wifi being good =/.the guy could just play the game with his friends.
Yeah that's true, but it shouldn't be the sole determining factor in buying a fighting game.In case he wants to get serious? You never know.

***this***all i want is wi-fi smash bros that works
Source? (tbh, I really haven't been keeping up with the Wii U...)I don't think they'll be having FCs, but IDs instead.
So it turns out that it'll be the same as PSN and XBL.
Personal Accounts is risky though. But I hope it has a strong software and security.
Go live in Japan
AFAIK, Nintendo doesn't really piss off hackers like Sony did.Seriously, if Nintendo gets hacked like Sony did when they're doing this Nintendo Network thing, then it is the end of online for Nintendo.
But seriously. Brawl's online was the biggest disappointment of my childhood. =P
Well yeah people get occasionally hacked. What Time was talking about though was when Sony took this one guy to court because he posted on the internet how to hack/jailbreak the PS3, because of this, Anonymous took down the entire PSN.AFAIK?
You don't need to piss off someone to get hacked. Some just do it for fun, because they're jerks.

Not only that, but there could also be DLC for the 3DS version as well. =DAnd since there's going to be add-ons and DLCs, SSB4 is going to shine bright.
Adding in some new characters and stages is just by far the best thing I could think of.
Isn't the new FE game coming out for the 3DS having paid DLC?I've never seen DLCs in a 3DS before. I mean the psp has them, but I don't know if the 3DS does that.
I guess it can work for the games you bought in the eShop.
Nope, it's true:It's still technically a rumor I believe, but it most likely will end up having DLC
