I don't really have a desire for stuff hacking offers, the only thing I'd use it for would be like playing games region free but other than that it doesn't sound like anything I need.

Not that I've noticed but if you move your Wii while it's running a disc you'll probably get scratches. This is bound to happen to me because I'm paranoid about people around my Wii.

I have noticed an amount of a few scratches while playing. Ever since my cousin came over to visit, they always horseplay around my Wii and then they bump table so many times. Have you look on the back of any of your discs?

Yeah, they're fine, I have tried really hard to avoid moving it around. I mainly move it when it's off when I switch between Wii games and gamecube games because of the controller cord length.

My Strikers has like a lot scratches. Some are little and some are medium sized, and new ones form, like everytime I play. Sure I worry about things like this too much, but things like this can turn into a problem if you don't look out for it.

Hooray for hackin' the Wii!

Now, don't get me wrong...I don't support piracy, but I love to homebrew on my DS. If they ever offered a simple and cheap way of getting homebrew on the Wii...whew. Count me in.

If it happens all the time even if you don't move your Wii you should get it checked out if you can. I'd hate for that to happen to me, Nintendo isn't supported here [or they don't support here, something like that] so I'm screwed if anything goes wrong.

Wiimote weapon kit takes uselessness to dangerous new levels

Wiimote add-ons of all sorts have been flooding in virtually since the console's debut, but when it comes to sheer uselessness and dangerousness, it's tough to beat this latest bundle from the folks at Dragon Electronics, which offers no less than eight ways to accessorize your Wiimote and nunchuck. That includes a pair of daggers, an axe, and a pistol to name a few, which the company says should provide "amazing, exciting, fantastic and training body reaction." If that sounds like the added depth of realism you've been waiting for, you can grab a set of your own right now for just under $30.

That set looks like crap. I got some attachments with my Wii bundle that I got for christmas and I only looked at them once and put them in my cupboard [in my bedroom, far away from my Wii] because I'll never use them and they look wiitarded. I wish companies would stop making this non-sense for the wiimote, it's really getting out of hand.

The Wii -> DS Demo channel's grown.

Speaking to the New York Times Reggie Fils-Amie, Nintendo of America’s President and Chief Operating Officer has confirmed that later this year it will be possible to download full Nintendo DS games via the Wii and transfer them over to the Nintendo DS.

"To aggressively drive DS business we need to provide other forms of entertainment to excite the consumer,” said Mr. Fils-Amie. The article states that "completed games as well as game samplers (demos) will be able to be downloaded to the Wii.... and then transferred wirelessly to the Nintendo DS".

Whether or not this means we will be able to download Super Mario 64 DS and other Nintendo DS games and transfer them over is currently unknown. We'll let you know once Nintendo clarifies Fils-Amie's statements.

DS-Ware I hope. :)

One of the coolest things about Geometry Wars: Galaxies is the ability to download a full version of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved from the Wii to the DS free of charge. I'd be thrilled to see Nintendo start doing that sort of thing via the Wii's virtual console or something.

What I'm hoping for, come Everybody's Nintendo Channel? GBA and GBC games on the VC...which separates itself from pure speculation by a few things:

a) the fact that the VC page, talked about a few pages back, on Nintendo's Japanese site, has two blank spots filled with question marks and
b) the fact that Nintendo is talking about introducing a first party flash-cart for 'media.'

[Edit:]

Further thinking makes me think that GBA is not all that likely, as those games are still being sold in stores and Nintendo wouldn't wanna canabalize its sells like that. Perhaps GBC and normal GB games?

Probably not...but it'd be **** cool.

I dunno, GB and GBC games sound pretty likely to me. But I wouldn't be too interested unless they are:

A) Cheap (I'm talking $1-2 in VC points)

and

B) Able to be downloaded from the Wii onto my DS so they can be played as intended - on the go. While we're at it why not let us do that with NES and SNES games as well? Ball's in your court, Nintendo.

ive been encountering some problems with my wii recently. sometimes if i play guitar hero, the disk either a) takes a ridiculously long time to load b) loads but freezes and makes a high pitched sound. is there something wrong with the wii or the disk?

Has it been doing this with other games? Do you have scratches on your disc? It's more likely than not a game disc issue...

Not really, demos are all I wanted. I'd much rather buy a game and have a hard copy than have a digital copy.

LOL! One of the surveys asks if you sneeze with your eyes open or eyes closed. I have never seen or heard of someone sneezing with their eyes open. Isn't that a physical impossibility? I thought it was proven that your eyes would blast out of their sockets if your eyes were open. >_<

Are there any games for the Wii online that are actually smooth? I was playing DBZ: Budokai Tenchiachi 3 online, and it's laggy as hell. Are there any that play through well? Even Strikers was semi-laggy from what I remember.

Striker's didn't seem to lag at all for me and a friend when we played online. That was before the game was out in the States, meaning we were playing with people overseas...and it ran fine.

Yeah, thanks. I didn't feel like actually hosting the pic, and I guess it doesn't work otherwise.

@ blazer787: Irony!

@ NintendoWarrior: I'm pretty sure that any decent sound setup will work with the Wii (although it'll only be in 2.1 Surround Sound :-/).

[Edit:]

WiiWare is supposedly being hinted at a March release. This isn't news to me for some reason, as I thought it was understood that it was coming at that time. Also, a new game has been announced...but nothing too big.

1up has stated that WiiFit (which has sold a million units in Japan already) is going to be coming on May 20th...a rumor, but it's the only date we've gotten so far. You have to read the article; the date is very subtle.

Also, and I know this is off topic, who's excited about No More Heros?
