An inanimate object fighter is honestly really interesting and there are a lot more ways to take them than you'd probably think of at first. You could play into the inanimate part and have it barely move at all while having hard-hitting moves to compensate. Or you could have it move like a normal Smash fighter with more squash-and-stretch style animations. And of course, it's appearance in Resident Evil solidifies it as one of the greatest video game characters of all time.
