Where do I begin?
I guess I can blame us for creating a monster and for introducing them.
But i can blame him for being a total jerk to us.
But im getting ahead of myself.

A good friend of mine and Denzi has been acting like a total prick lately. He's been ditching our usual weekend brawl/chillin' time, has been acting like a total tool, and basically lying to us (or at least hiding the truth). Why?
He got a girlfriend.

Sure, you'd think this was a good thing. I should be happy for him. I should be welcoming that he's dating our good friend now. But im not. He's changed a lot for the worse.

I remember when i first met him, I'd make crude comments and he'd stare at me like I was freaking insane. Now, he seems to be all about making crude comments becuase his girlfriend does. Everything revolves around her and her friends and what they say and what makes them happy. Thats all he ever talks about anymore. And she thinks Denzi hates her (which is untrue.) and wont listen to him or myself when we try to tell her thats untrue.

Slowly, Denzi and myself are becoming more and more annoyed with this situation. He's obesessed with his girlfriend and is slowing shunning his best friends. We're worried about what will happen when reality hits or if they break up. But at the same time, we want to be there to see reality come crashing down. It may sound mean, but we'd be able to get a good "We told you so" in and try to help him back to reality.

I don't know whats going to happen, or if we've lost him for good.
I just hope he doesn't bring her to the school tourney we're in...

EDIT: DENZI IS NOT THE ONE IN THE RELATIONSHIP, JUST FYI PEOPLE.

same this happened to me and my brother, when he's not doing anything to do with his girlfriend (ie msn, facebook etc) he's chill and a cool brother but even when he's simply editing one of her photo's (he's a photographer) the second i go near him....

even after all i do is usually bring him ice tea and he still flips out for doing something good to him, which is why iv come to hate his girlfriend.

Well, they've been dating secretly for weeks now I guess. They told us (rather, I haven't been told yet.) two days ago. As it seems nowadays, relationships are only official if announced on facebook.

I'd say, just tell him. Tell him what you think, very briefly. And not aggressively or anything. Be there only when he falls, it's the only important part. Serious.

Otherwise, just ditch him. I have happened to be one who was there too long for a girl that wasn't worth it. How'd it end? I say hello when we see each other. She does some sort of sad face because she misses my presence.

Just do whatever you feel like. If you want to be there when he falls, just let him do his thing and warn him only once. He'll learn or stay stupid. That's for him to decide.

In all seriousness, people don't realize that you shouldn't change dramatically in a relationship. Other stuff besides the girlfriend exist. It's just a matter of balancing barwl/friends and girlfriends. A lot of guys are just helpless romantics like that and think it's the best thing since sliced bread (which it is, but not by as much as they think).

Just tell him he doesn't have to be with her every waking moment. It makes the things that made you fall in love in the first place wear off faster anyways, especially in a teenage relationship

This relationship between your friend and Denzi seems dysfunctional. It seems like Denzi is either afraid of relationships or has an idyllic picture of what a perfect relationship should be and can't accept your friend's efforts.

Your friend is latching onto Denzi- is this his first relationship? Maybe he desperately wants this relationship to work perfectly, so he is doing everything he can to please her. I think he's been lying about why he can't hang out b/c he thinks you're annoyed with his relationship. Overall, it looks like this won't work out.

Of course, this is blind speculation. You have talk to both of them. Either tell them why they're bothering you, or help them with their relationship. From what I see, it doesn't look like you've tried very hard at helping your friend.

I say that is kinda how it is for everyone at first. I know I did it with my first few girlfriends and that was before I was playing smash much. But you need to think of it like this, why would he wanna chill with bunch of guys when he can be chillin with his girl and get some? If you think he has made the wrong decision by choosing his girl over you guys when it comes to hanging out and playing video games then you're mad over nothing. He hasn't left you for dead yet and he might not. He just left you to play games while he tries to hit his girl up. Can't blame him. When a fight breaks out and he dips, then forget him.
