I love playing people in 1 on 1 matches who suddenly give you communication errors when you start winning, especially ones who have beaten you several matches in a row.
One of the best examples happened when I played Duck Hunt against a Luigi. This player had dominated me for several matches in a row, so I play Duck Hunt just to see what I can do. For the first time in the set, I dominate him. His Luigi can't fight my Duck Hunt, and it gets to the point where I am at over 120% on my first stock, and he's over 60% on his second stock.
So, does Super Player take the loss and come back with a vengeance? No, he quits on me and I get a Communication Error message. Now, I know he quit on me because we had played several matches lag free with no connection issues. I'm sorry, but it gets very suspicious when I get an error like that when I start winning.
Just today, I played a Little Mac player who tore through my mains. I lost badly to him and he took pleasure in taunting me. In his mind, easy pickings, right? Noob can't hang with a Little Mac player?
Now, I don't like fighting Little Mac on for Glory, simply because everyone spams the same moves, Little Mac is hard to punish on flat stages, and the super armor nonsense lets him power through other moves. I have had Little Mac players kill my Ike with their F-Smash simply because the Super Armor lets them absorb the counter and they still hit you.
So, Little Mac is already an annoying character to play against.
After losing to him several times, I decide to fight fire with fire. I play Little Mac myself. Suddenly, the arrogant player who loved to taunt me is suddenly having trouble keeping up. I start to take the lead in percent and shut down alot of the BS he had been using against me in the past few matches.
Does the Little Mac player dig deep and prove that he's better then me? Does he welcome the challenge of me using Little Mac myself? No, I get the communication error message once I start to take the lead. The second I play Little Mac and turn the tables on him, the player who delighted in taunting me quits out like a massive loser.
What is funny about all this is that I'm rusty with Little Mac.
This is not a rairty in 1 on 1 matches, and it almost always happens when I start winning matches, especially ones where I have lost numerous games in a row, and I am on the verge of breaking my losing streak.
Has this happened to anyone else? I mostly play the 3DS version.
