^ Really? The lack of Trophies made me wonder if it's like that because it's really bad...

It just, is it anything like:

Baten Kaitos, Star Ocean, some of the Tales games, to the point where you get soooo bored you can't finish it?

Trophies don't make a game. You shouldn't judge it based solely on that.

It somewhat similar to a Tales game. But like I said, I haven't finished it, so I wouldn't know.

Well I didn't really mean it like that, it's just it's the only game I know that lacks them...which is odd. Tales games are fun :3

JRPGs tent to very trophy/achievement light, from what I've the Japanese generally don't care for them. Which is odd, because the Japanese tend to like repetitious, pointless and boring games. :troll:

Does anyone else enjoy Koei strategy games? Although I kind of came to the game late, I would personally recommend Genghis Khan II: Clan of the Grey Wolf. It's not necessarily the deepest of all of their strategy titles, but I personally found this to be for the best. It combines simple accessibility with surprisingly deep long-term strategy. The real kicker to me was the historical accuracy. It accurately depicts the mongols, their successors, and the many different empires contemporaneous with them. If you want a video of the game in action, click here.

Edit: ...and I just saw that you're not supposed to just type suggestions out of the blue. Well, I guess I do want to ask if anyone has a good strategy game in mind that they can recommend.

-Starcraft II
-Warcraft III
-Battle for Middle Earth (haven't played the sequel)
-Fire Emblem
-Final Fantasy Tactics

All off the top of my head.

Stamping your library books.
With the PSNpocalypse going on, I need some new games. I was thinking about either Super Mario Galaxy 2 or New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii. Either of those any good?

Get SMG2 if you like to play alone or get NSMB if you have friends/family members that want to play it with you.

They're both good games.

Man, NSMB was ridiculous with my roomie and friends. Two of them are casual gamers, so I don't know how many times they were responsible for our deaths. I think they tallied about 20+ continues.

Any one play any of the new harvest moons for Wii, DS or psp? if so, how are they? I loved harvest moon games and I am really craving to play one again but I don't wanna buy a whole system just to play one game if its bad.

^ Going to Gamestop to trade in an extra MK copy. Some things I'm considering:

Kirby Epic Yarn
SMG(beat the 2nd one)
God of War 1/2
Assassin's Creed.

Discuss D:

Really go for AC2 or Brotherhood.

The first one sucked imo. Sure you get to climb stuff, but the gameplay is horribly repetitive and frankly, I got bored after getting lost in the wilderness and trying to figure out everything myself after barely getting clues as to where I can get more clues as to where I can kill my next target

Quick question: is Darksiders any good? I saw it for $20 at Best Buy, and I heard it got good reviews.

Just wondering if it's worth picking up.

Speaking of Assassin's Creed. The new one just got announced. Revelations and the main char is...EZIO.

-_- so basically, they are doing a "trilogy" to Ezio with this one being the last one. I think Ezio is cool and all, but Brotherhood didn't provide much story, and I don't think this one will either.

Plus, this takes place after Brotherhood...Ezio is like 50 now...how can he be scaling walls o_O?

It's kinda funny how those franchises spit out games like every year now, and yet people bash Nintendo IPs for having too many games. If Mario games came out this often(console ones) there'd be way too many. But yeah, just a thought.

Got GoWCollection over AC2 tbh. I wanna try AC, but... I couldn't resist. It's soooo fun d:

Is AC1 that bad? I don't wanna be left out story wise...

Honestly, I started out from AC2 and didn't bother playing AC1. You really don't miss out much story wise in my opinion, and if you need to read up on it, there's always the AC Wiki.

Also, while it would be bad if Mario games were spit out every year, when you look at it...they do. There are different renditions of Mario. Mario Party. Mario Tennis. Sonic vs Mario at the Olympics. Paper Mario. New Super Mario Bros.

The other main Nintendo franchises don't do that (Zelda and Metroid), but I think you get the idea about Nintendo milking Mario.

Never been a fan of companies spitting out a new rendition with very little changes every year. Like hell I would pay 60 bucks for a game that has subtle changes. AC Revelations will probably be a rent for me just like Brotherhood. Smart move from a business end, but stupid on us buyers.

DLC stuff is stupid too. Especially when it's already coded on the disc.

Well I'm talking serious Mario Games, like SMG/SMG2. Not Mario party, etc.

And yeah I agree, it's so dumb. Dlc and yearly additions suck. I love the Wii for the sole fact it isn't plauged by DLC. Monster Hunter Tri would've had like 30 dollars of dlc if PS3 had owned it.

I like DLC. I like that you have the extra option of downloading more content for a game that you enjoy. Not saying that I buy every piece of DLC that comes out, but there's some that I'm glad I purchased.

Paying to unlock content already on the disc is ridiculous though. :I

^ Yeah I was aiming for that moreso than dlc, my bad.

So yeah I went with God of War1/2. I never played these because all the rednecks at my highschool loved the games, I looked at Kratos and went "Probably a stupid button masher" So far the first one is kinda a button masher, but it is pretty fun :3

GoW is a button masher. Not my thing, personally, but I understand why people like them. But it's still just a button masher. ;)

I need to rant about a game I have started playing then I am going to ask a question, feel free to skip to the question.

I started playing Sonic Adventures for the first time, and I have to say the game has some flaws...

BIG CAT!
KNUCKLES!
AMY!
and...
EVIL SADISTIC CAMERA OF EVIL.
^
My four LARGEST complaints.

For the most part the game is ok, the sonic and tails stages are oddly addicting as they are fun which is a good thing, If it was just sonic and tails stages I would down right love this game, but I can not bring myself to ignore the other characters as I feel I have to play them to get the full game experience.

/rant

Now on to my question, is their a good 3D sonic game that has a good camera? That is hands down my largest complaint. I can deal with the others. I would love to experience this game without the camera trying to kill me, so is there another sonic game in which I can do that? Or does the remake fix that? If the remake has that fixed what system is it for, I am currently playing on the Sega Dreamcast.

I consider drakengard a button masher, anything else is fine. Maybe I'm too lenient.

This probably sounds strange, but I'm now considering getting a PS2. If you could only define the system's catalog with three-to-eight major games, what would those games be?

Alright, I'll take a look at those, thanks. How different are the PS2 and Wii versions of Okami?

The controls are different. The Wii version relies on motion controls a lot, which is fine for the celestial brush, but kinda janky for platforming.

Also, the Wii one has more saturated colour, graphics-wise.
