The Lord of the Rings movies are my all time favorites. Meet the Parents, The Matrix, The Bourne Trilogy (Especially Ultimatum), X-Men (1 and 2), Wall-E, The Incredibles, and Forrest Gump all deserve honorable mentions. They are all tied for 2nd place, but nothing can compare to the perfection of LotR.

No Internet?!?
It good to see people who have some lesser known films as their favourite, like Spirited Away. Forest Gump's good, but it's not one of the best films I've seen.

I don't know what everyone see's in The Incredibles, that was one of the worst films I've ever seen.

Jacob's Ladder. That movie is messed up.
FFVII: Advent Children. Sephiroth gets owned by the super limit break of Cloud at the end. It rocks.
Forrest Gump. I just like it.
Superbad. I couldn't stop laughing.
The End of Evangelion. WTF with the ending?

The Blair Witch Project

And maybe The Green Mile.
Come on guy, how can you even put those two films in the same LEAGUE? I don't want to come off as some kind of snob, but seriously - the blair witch project?

Anyway, favourite films of all time:

1) The Shawshank Redemption
2) The Green Mile
3) One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest
4) Saving Private Ryan
5) Alien
6) Goodfellas
7) Shindler's List
8) Back to the Future
9) The Shining
10) Casino

-----

dark knight has just been added to my list of favorite movies
I've yet to see this, but my hopes are high. Usually fresh good films end up high in the rankings on umdb as a matter of course, but it's been number 1 by a considerable margin for some time now.

I like that film, it's smart, creepy, and it tried something new, and it payed off in the end. The Green Mile is a really good film too, it's really well made and its story is fantastic. It's easy to see why it's such a popular film. I just happen to like them both, as they're both good in their separate ways.

I really didn't like the premise or execution of BWP. Shaky cam every which way. Ugh. I'm generally not a fan of the documentary style movie at all.
