How can Wario deal with Pivot Grabs upon approaching? Also, what's the best way to utilize Wario's Bite/Nair?

here's how I think it works...

pivot grabs - no direct counter...overshoot your approach if you suspect they will, pivot grabs are warios greatest weakness lol
bite - falling on someone who's trying to shield/spotdodge
nair - oos

thats like telling jiggs to stop approaching through the air...but at least she has dash attack
IF you're getting pivot grabbed a lot then you need to mix it up not approaching from the air all the time is a good way to mix it up.

You really should start baiting this pivot grab and punish.

Wario's great aerial mobility allows you to do this. Also tou are clearly getting read if you are getting pivot grabbed, mix up you approach try not to attack everytime you get in the air and stuff.

If you're giving pivot grabbed just approach from more vertical, and space appropriately horizontal. When they commit to the grab and miss, you punish.

if you are really cool you sh nair at them and fast fall into the ground the second they grab their grab goes above u and they freak out.

Aight. Someone help me. I do my fairs and Bairs with my c stick. For some reason I can't to the short hop bair tho with my c stick consistently without falling on my back on the ground. Now if use the a button I can do it all day long. What am I doing wrong???

It took me a while to get used to bairing with the C stick, b/c for some reason I could autocancel it easier without it at first o_O

I've never had it happen to me, but since we can get spiked out of it, I don't see why not... we can airdodge pretty soon after we start it though, so it could be pretty dangerous.

Has anyone done any experimenting with a buffered standing pivot grab as a chaingrab rather than the regular cg?

I've done a little bit of testing and I'm fairly sure it will allow you to cg D3 from 0-30 (not much I know but it might have other applications).

The input I use is:

Dthrow->control stick forward-> Z -> c-stick backwards.

Note: It's SIGNIFICANTLY HARDER than the regular cg. If you can't do that I wouldn't reccomend trying it.

There was this huge discussion about it a while ago because supposedly wario had a CG on d3. It wa proven wrong.

You can fart also. I farted several times FAIL Dair gimp attempts from Medakniis.

Its got a pretty strict timing, just practice it till you get the timing, also try using the CStick for it.

It's not proven wrong, it's just so hard that people gave up on it.

Either one does not work on Dedede sadly. You can CG him on certain "valleys" inbetween two slopes, but that is it

Yeah I know the one on D3 is ****. I'm fairly sure it does work at like 0 but it's not useful enough to actually bother with.

I'm wondering about how it could effect other characters that we could already cg though.
