He said "He's going to bomb the crap out of your Northern State"
Don't think anyone knows how to play Mahjong but Poker will be fun (and Jesse or Andre will win lol)
Not sure how team poker would work, though lol... Regardless, it doesn't matter if people don't know how to play, they will learn if they want to compete (put it this way - I would be very shocked if ALL of one team were pros at anything and ALL of the other team had no idea what it was

Very very very very unlikely...) Plus, if there's enough notice for each event (see below - Event Scheduling or something) then it'll give the knowledgeable people some time to teach the others...
Anyway, here's what I've got as a rough rough draft for the NvS thing... If anyone's got any comments/questions/amendments/additions, speak up quickly before the trolls come in :D Note: I haven't developed a scoring system yet, but I would imagine it'd be pretty straightforward - 1 point for a win, no points for a loss... And rules regarding forfeiture and stuff I guess would be event dependant... So that's why most of the stuff below is pretty general xD
--------------------------------------
NORTH VS SOUTH COMPETITION
OBJECTIVE: To see which side of the river is the better, using various team-based events.
SCHEDULE: At least one event per month, held on a Sunday. The first event will be Laser Tag (or so I assume given all the discussion), and then each subsequent event will be decided upon by the losing team of the previous event.
[If the first event is Laser Tag and you guys want to come to Dark Zone, then I’ll have to be here to get cheaper prices. I’m going away from the 5th-20th of January though, so keep that in mind. Alternatively, you can have it while I’m away and pay full price, but it’s up to you.]
EVENT SCHEDULING (done by the losing team):
- Losing team has the responsibility to decide on an event, decide on the amount of competitors per team for that event, and the Sunday on which it is held. They are responsible for booking anything that needs to be booked, as well as acquiring any equipment necessary unless the other side has access to that equipment.
- The event must be held within one month (four Sundays) of the previous event.
- Failure to organise the event will result in a technical win for the other side, and the one month time limit for the next event will be reset.
- There should be like a set amount of notice for each event, like the event and date/time has to be officially announce one week before the day or something, so that people can learn how to do stuff and arrange their teams before the event...
EVENT RESTRICTIONS:
- Cannot be Super Smash Bros. (if we were going to play Brawl, we may as well have a tournament, no?) [Considering extending this to “Cannot be video games”, but I’m not sure that’s in the spirit of the competition and thus would like to get better feedback on that first

]
- Must accommodate teams (either an actual team game with a number of people per side, or an individual game where the scores/results are combined somehow to form a team score/result).
--- INDIVIDUAL EVENTS must not have the same person playing twice in the team unless agreed by both sides. For example, if the game was Badminton Singles, Vlade would not be allowed to play more than once for his team unless both teams agree. This prevents teams from abusing one member’s skills.
- Teams for each event must consist of AT LEAST 4 people total, but cannot exceed the amount one side can produce
- Must not be too expensive (limit of $30 or so?)
PLAYER/TEAM RESTRICTIONS (if any):
- They must have attended at least one Brawl tournament (this will stop people from inviting random strangers to play for us – we started the argument so now we should have to settle it

)
- If a team is to have “reserves” on the day of the event, it must be agreed upon by both sides beforehand. Of course, this will mean that the other side can have the same amount of reserves if they so choose
ORGANISATION:
- I would be happy to “host” this competition on the Boards (by hosting I mean managing a thread on the FFFF Boards to keep everyone up to date on the competition and keep it moving along), but if someone else has more experience and would like to take the reins I would still like to see a separate thread for this away from the Perth thread (given how quickly the Perth thread moves)...
AMENDMENTS:
- Like tournaments, any of the rules can be changed/added/omitted if both sides agree...
-----------------------------------
Once I get some feedback I'll make a 2nd draft, with more formalities like proper paragraphing and omission of colloquialisms
