[VIC] Melbourne N2C Thread: Regular casual meetups for Brawl/Melee/Smash 64

Hi all.

I'm new to the smash community and i'd love to play with you guys (both melee and brawl). When is the next meet?

Went lanning with my mates, I think I saw you guys playing at N2C on friday. Might drop by for some Smash, been ages since I've played Smash since all the people I played with stopped.

I only saw about 4 TVs, one for melee the other 3 Brawl. Just a few questions:
How are things set up, Is there a round robin? winner stays on?
How long do you guys stay at N2C for?

firstly, welcome to melbourne smash. we have monthly tournaments, the details of which can be found in this thread: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=258119

casual meets are normally posted here, and basically happen when someone makes an effort to organize it. check back often and keep in touch.

we brought the wiis and games, so we have them for however long we want them. normally operate on a 'winner stays on' but its pretty casual, and we make sure everyone gets a go. should come and say hi next time :)

Mota: I live out from the Craigieburn line (on vline) its like a 30min drive away, maybe we could arrange a meet at some point.

Mota/Aggro: Basically what shmot (attila) said, we have monthly tourneys for brawl and melee, and anything else is pretty much spur of the moment, so just hang around and keep updated :)

FYI: i'm 17
thanks a lot for the info :D
i'm east of the CBD in Kew and it's really easy to get to n2c from my place so go there a bit.
However, i usually have basketball on saturday evenings so i usually can't go to most of the tournaments posted on smashboards. Just on a personal note, friday nights are usually free for me. other weekdays, im' full.
Hopefully, i'll see you guys soon.

I've been going to tourneys since Feb last year. Still not long enough to be called a veteran imo.

Yeah I was at N2C. I was the dude who got there first, and played Kirby bahaha.

Argh Mid year exams approaching so probs won't be attending anytime soon. + My GC controller broke gg.

i remember dekar telling me what cats told him once
cats was telling him why kirby should be mid instead of low tier in melee
dekar told me that if youre arguing for your character to be mid instead of low, you shouldnt even be playing it anyway

Hey, I intro'd you guys, right? I'm close to Kew.

Come to the tournament in June 5-6; it's a crew battle tournament, which would be a nice introduction to the tournament scene.

Welcome again.

Hey, I was the guy with Aggromidget at n2c that night. I played one match of Melee; I don't really play Brawl. Hopefully, we'll be able to attend on June 5 and/or 6. Hope to see you guys soon.

it starts around 6:30, and goes til people get bored (usually around 10:30). ive got work on friday (:() and cao has a party to go to, so i dunno about friday.

Attila needs a lot of training, but I may not be able to give any tonight because I've got a seminar which runs from 6 through 8.30 - I could visit afterwards but I'll probably be tired and not stay long.

I got a good fix playing Tim last night and I like my post count
