Because I look forward to a new game. By new, I also mean fun. Camping =/= fun. Brawl = Camping. Brawl =/= not fun. Get it?
Not in the slightest. What the freak is your stance on this? You've seemingly changed about a million times already.

You said that camping = not fun, and that camping = brawl (both of which I can agree with). However, the next logical step of this would be that brawl = not fun. If A = B, and A = C, then B = C.

Why I hate this so much is you whined and whined and whined and begged and hoped that Brawl would be the same ****ing game as Melee. 64 wasn't the same, so why should Melee be the same? Creators don't look at a game as an 'expansion pack', the creators wanted to make something new. This is what Brawl is. It's a DIFFERENT GAME.

Then, after your disappointment in the game being OH SO SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT BECAUSE FOX DOESN'T MOVE OR FALL AS FAST, you whine and whine and moan about it, then do your ****EDEST to make the game 'as competitive as Melee', even go so far as to modify the game engine itself to fit your needs.

If it's this much trouble, and you're THAT obsessed with Melee, JUST PLAY MELEE.
1. I do play Melee, much more so than Brawl, so stop bringing it up, scrub.

2. I didn't use fox, I used everyone who wasn't fox :D

3. Oh so slightly different? Did you just change the meaning of the word slight? Otherwise, this statement is completely inaccurate.

4. I hoped for the best, and prepared for the worst. When I was disappointed in Brawl, I had no problem playing Melee, don't generalize everyone who doesn't like Brawl all that much as 'anti-brawlers'.

5. I'm not putting any work into this project, simply waiting.

6. Brawl is a new game, you got that right, and it sucks balls.

Ah, thanks for catching that, I ****ed up putting it as =/=. My bad.

Dear Kelexo,

I speak not for me, but the competitive community as a near whole. If you're too narrow minded to accept that, then I'm sorry for your cognitive inability of comprehension.

You wonder why you guys are in encyclopedia dramatica. Only people that fail extremely hard end up there. nyeh heh heh heh.
I'm one single person, son.

I have my own section on one of my favorite websites? I want a link, straight to the Boxob section. I'd find it myself but I fail too hard D:

The competitive community needs to learn what an opinion is, then.

People who play Wii are on there. So if you are playing Brawl, you are on ED and you fail hard. OMG no wais. There are competitive smashers who are on 4chan so this makes the arguement even more moot.

Melee has more depth than Brawl. This is not an opinion. Almost everything you can do in Brawl you can do in Melee and Melee had more complicated game play mechanics for the things that Brawl has.

Wow.

You are seriously the biggest group of stuck-up, hard-headed blunts I've ever met.

I wouldn't have even cared had you guys not acted so childish when someone questions your methods. You people are hilarious and fail so hard, not for what you're trying to do, but the way you think.

I will forever visit this board and laugh at the stupidity that never ceases. Thank you all for your participation.

LOL copypasta. Done here.

I will say that Brawl actually has more factual glitches like falling through levels, Jiggly's FS, etc. Plus, easy to do infinites. Good job at trolling though I guess. =/

Edit: Kelexo, got me on the way out. I never heard of ANY and I mean ANY group of people ***** at someone for modding a game. That is probably the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Congratulations and being one of those people who did *****.

The only thing that should be removed is random tripping.

Honestly that's the only thing that is legitimately lame about this game that screws over everyone. Everything else mentioned on the first post is all bias against the way the game works.

I'm not saying I disagree that the features you want to restore will make the game more competitive, but honestly I just want to play Brawl the way it is, in all of its non-competitive nature. The game wasn't meant to truly appeal to the competitive base anyway...

In melee there was wavedash, lcancel, wavedance, dash dance etc

\brawl has: fox trot

do u se the difference

Hey guys, I heard people were talking about depth in a party game, what the crap?

So, what about this Street Fighter 3 Third Strike business? Last I knew, Melee didn't have parrying, a large amount of varying special attacks for every character, or a roster that was polished to a mirror shine by more than ten years of experience catering to the hardcore competitive gamer crowd.

p's :)

This thread is terrible. All of you don't deserve to play Brawl. Go back to melee and stay there.

Agreed. If you guys want to play Melee online, there are methods of doing so. It's not an easy process, but it's better then voiding your Wii's warranty for the sake of a more competitive friendly game.

So, I'm reading the manual for Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, and they actually have a guide on how to properly use Roman Cancels, False Roman Cancels, how to activate Absolute Defence, the advantages of Psych Bursts and such and such. Last I knew, SSBM never had those kinds of instructions in its instruction book.

That's not to mention that Capcom fighters also have such info, and I think SNK does that too with their instruction books.

HEY GUYS! I GOT AN IDEA! If you aren't supportive of something that has absolutely zero impact on you... YOU DON'T NEED TO POST! ISN'T THAT AN AMAZING CONCEPT? So now you know that it actually ISN'T necessary to waste both your time posting and our time reading your replies!

Cut the "go back to melee" junk. If someone wants to play the game this way, then so be it. This project has no more impact on you than that nub in france playing 2 minute timed matches with all items on high on temple. You act like this is the greatest crime on earth.

Agrees with this guy. Seriously, I was about to post about the same thing. I realy dont understand a lot of the flaming that goes on in here. And what is with this Joe guy posting about Capcom and confused about Melee or Brawl having depth? Not to mention it is his first two posts on the site, I'm pretty sure we can all tell what he's doing. Anyway, if people have questions about this USB Gecko thing, sure post them whatever and someone will most likely answer, but if your just complaining about what you believe is right, please leave.

EDIT: What's with the flames about online? I may not be right about this, but I doubt you would be able to use an outside program to play matches against others not using it on wifi. Even if you could, how is it going to affect you? Are you going to play random matches against people you dont know and complain about it because they have an advantage? Who here plays basic brawl, anyway? MKDS was much worse with hacking. Also, if your fighting somebody using the match finder, your talking to them, and if you notice they are hacking just dont play them, or talk to them about it? Realy, its not like when this thing comes out somebody is going to find a super secret hidden tech that they can expose using it that nobody in online tourneys will notice or anything. If I have missed anything on the online flames, please tell me.

Hey guys, I'm hacking Street Fighter Alpha 3 to have the rules from Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo.

Now, all I need are coders, mappers, spriters, sprite rippers, hackers, crackers and cracker makers.

Actually it doesn't at all. You need the same values from both sides or else it wouldn't work properly.

Also wow at the other people. I leave for a while and there is 1. More *****ing about something that doesn't affect them 2. More copypasta 4chan stuff 3. Some SRK troller who is using irrelevant facts to the subject and to the off topic Melee vs Brawl to derail the topic even more.

Good job people I guess.

SRK =/= SNK. The least you could do is spell it right.

Fun fact: Street Fighter 2 was the start of many conventions in fighting games, such as cancelling and super moves. Now, cancelling was originally a bunch of glitches that Capcom eventually noticed and made part of the gameplay in later revisions of the title. The result was a fighting game so balanced that it's still used today in major tournaments.

Now, tell me this: After noticing the fact that players were abusing glitches to cancel out moves to combo better, did Sakurai ever announce he would make up MORE ways to make better comboes?

This is pretty sad. Why can't you just accept it the way things are? Melee was only a "competitive" game by accident, because there were lots of unchecked bugs that could be exploited to change a match. It was never designed with people like you in mind. Brawl was designed against you, because your ways of playing are the complete wrong ways of playing it and Sakurai had recognized that.

Super Smash Bros. is a party game. It always will be, and it always was. It was always about having fun and playing as your favorite Nintendo character, never about obsessing over skill and being the better player.
