I also think they are underwhelming choice, due to their incredibly uninspiring character design and lack of charm. I'm aware of the fact they could easily bring something fresh gameplay-wise, but just like the Miis, I don't think that is enough to make them quality additions. If the Sal leak is true I'm most likely going to end up disappointed with the Chorus Men's inclusion. The main reason is because unlike every single other fighter in the Smash series they don't seem to serve any significant purpose.
Unlike all of the other "WTF" characters, their series isn't largely popular (like Wii Fit) and they don't have any historical significance (like R.O.B. and G&W).
They feel random for the sake of being random, which doesn't bode well with me considering Smash Bros is supposed to be a series about Nintendo All Stars.
they're clearly building up to some heavier ones *coughridleycough*There are WAY TOO MANY lightweight newcomers this time around.
No. King K.Rool is the only legit heavy weight who has a shot.they're clearly building up to some heavier ones *coughridleycough*
^Get a load of this guy, Mr. G&W, ROB and Wii Fit Trainer are "uninspired".I also think they are underwhelming choice, due to their incredibly uninspiring character design and lack of charm. I believe he is referring to the Chorus Men.^Get a load of this guy, Mr. G&W, ROB and Wii Fit Trainer are "uninspired".
If this weren't the unpopular opinions thread those would be fighting words, Seven.- I think releasing of Smash Bros on the 3DS before the WiiU version is a terrible idea, if not the worst thing they've could have done. There goes a ****-ton of potential WiiU sales.
- I REALLY hope ROB is cut from the roster. A failed peripheral that a lot of people would rather forget was and is a waste of a character space.
- The design for the Smash 4 Dojo is just awful. No organization or anything. What happened to the unique info posts that Brawl had?
- As much as I like how unique they made her, and will probably use as a secondary main, I think the Wii Fit Trainer was nowhere near deserving of a Smash Bros. spot.
- I'm pretty sure 75% of Takamaru supporters had no idea who he was until they saw the support thread on the forums. Speaking of which, don't expect him at all.
- I hope King K. Rool doesn't get added to the roster.
- I hope Meta Knight gets cut from the roster.
--The Smash fanbase has a stupid bias against heavyweight characters solely on the basis that posterboys DK and Bowser ranged from mediocre to outright bad in their debut games. Whenever anyone critiques the lack of new heavyweights, someone will inevitably pipe up that "You already have these three or four veterans, that's enough!" or, usually on GameFAQs, that "We don't need any more useless fat characters." This is, of course, in spite of the average Smash character skewing way toward the lightweight end of the spectrum. There are WAY TOO MANY lightweight newcomers this time around.
The funny thing is, every SSB game has had at least 1 heavy weight character that are rather high on the tier list, 64 has Falcon, Melee also has Falcon and a case could be made for Ganondorf and Samus, and Brawl has Snake and Wario.--The Smash fanbase has a stupid bias against heavyweight characters solely on the basis that posterboys DK and Bowser ranged from mediocre to outright bad in their debut games. I can feel veins on my forehead inflamed from your opinions...the only one I agree with has to be the Smash 4 Dojo being awful. I mean, Nintendo has to have enough money to hire a decent webmaster!- I think releasing of Smash Bros on the 3DS before the WiiU version is a terrible idea, if not the worst thing they've could have done. i actually like this idea, but what i have in mind for the mii is a generic mii and not your own mii. a mii of yourself would take away the playability of the actual video game characters. i know it sounds dumb, but the furthest thing from yourself, the better.I think the inclusion of Mii is actually a good idea.
Customizable movesets for them are a terrible idea though.

Sakurai did actually say you couldn't customize your outfits, so... it could just be preset costumes(one of Reggie is likely. >_>)i actually like this idea, but what i have in mind for the mii is a generic mii and not your own mii. a mii of yourself would take away the playability of the actual video game characters. i know it sounds dumb, but the furthest thing from yourself, the better.
that would be the greatest thing of all time. Reggie storms into battle!!Sakurai did actually say you couldn't customize your outfits, so... it could just be preset costumes(one of Reggie is likely. >_>)
what they should do is make the more like they did in smash flash 2. if you haven't played that i highly recommend it, but DK in that game is a huge target, but is fairly fast(not speedy, mind you) and has medium attack speed with lots of power behind him. if you want to see what im talking about play SSF2, DK is ****ing fun as hell in that.--The Smash fanbase has a stupid bias against heavyweight characters solely on the basis that posterboys DK and Bowser ranged from mediocre to outright bad in their debut games. That's destroying the purpose of Miis themselves, they're supposed to be you.i actually like this idea, but what i have in mind for the mii is a generic mii and not your own mii. a mii of yourself would take away the playability of the actual video game characters. i know it sounds dumb, but the furthest thing from yourself, the better.
