Since somebody in this thread was asking about Melee Ridley...
AlGeorgeRomero's made a reskin using the textures for that model over our model! It's about as close as you'll be able to get until we finish working on the Brawl model version (which, as a result of our animations, will be rigged to our normal rig instead of using the original Brawl rig).
Oh, yeah, forgot to mention that one. Its not really using Melee Ridley's textures, but its very close.

Hey do you think you could make Baganley/Creepley with the proportions of this picture and compare to the proportions that they already have?

Yeah, but im not sure when and how it should move. OR its just that Ridley's HipN bone doesn't moves up, down or sideways here, so, its harder to notice its movements with his legs and wings in the way.
Tail does looks weird at the end, but i don't know how to animate it here.

Good. And he already contacted me. We have a lot of time, so, we can take the time to optimize it.

There should be one on Brawl Vault entry, but if it doesn't works, then...f***.


Its still going to be a thing. I want to use it too.


Not much was done those days i wasn' here, unfortunately. I just messed around with few things at that time:
  • 2 of Up B's sourspots were removed and remaining hitboxes were moved around to give sweetspot more priority. Now its easier to hit with and it KOes earlier than UAir.
  • Fireballs now explode on contact and look different. Explosion doesn't always appears (thats because explosion appears each 0.02th frame and gets removed 0.01 frame later, but code that removes the explosion is left unused if projectile disapears before its reached, so, there is 50% chance that explosion will not appear) and there is chance of ground explosion failing to appear.
  • Increased size of FS flame's hitboxes and added explosion at the end to make it look kooler.
  • Now Meta Ridley has darker wing membranes things, he is thinner like default model and...he is still not properly rigged. I was trying to import his model into 3ds max, but it freezes and FBX converter refuses to convert it.
  • New CSP pose for Ridley because i forgot where i put old "animation" for that. Whoops.
Can you post the new CSPs?

Is the Normal Model getting updated? If So, Can the 2.1 Model be used with the New Update? (2.2 I suppose)

You've gotta do what feels right for you, of course, but I'm sure there's someone who would like to help. This is a really popular project at this point.

Is the Normal Model getting updated? If So, Can the 2.1 Model be used with the New Update? (2.2 I suppose)
Any model after 2.0 can be used with new update and it will remain like that until i'll fix his grabbed animations.

Still watching this thread like a hawk. I can't wait for the day that the clone tool is released or figured out, because I love having a fully competitive build, but I would also love to include Ridley and couple of others on the side.

Yeah, that would be awesome. Having characters like Waluigi (who is still alive and actively being worked on btw, check KJP's thread for videos and other WAH stuff), Ridley, Dark Samus, etc. without having to replace Pit and...er...Whatever character DS will replace.
I like that pose. Do you have the CSPs for the alternate models done? Also, is that last pic an other m Roidley Alt?
As Dastardly Ridleylash said, yes, it is. Its been here for a while, but it had weird lighting on wings, so, i decided to completly remake it from scratch using Other M Ridley's materials to make him more accurate to the source (he lacks his chest wound and he is a bit brighter, but those are the only noticable differences).

No, he probably looks bigger because of armor and because Roy is kinda small.
And also the position of the wings artificially inflates his size a little, but then Pit had that same thing, just in the opposite direction; he was wider horizontally, rather than Ridley being wider vertically due to the wings. :p

Can't wait to find out what this means. Also, that new gameplay is DANK. Shared it with some friends and they flipped out.
I agree with the new Ridley gameplay being dope and all that, but I might have something to do with Pyotr's "works". Can't say what or it'll ruin the surprise. ;) I can neither confirm or deny anything you may ask either of us about it. You just have to wait patiently, and until there's something to show, play some Project M and git gud m8.

We're totally working on making a MLG skin for Ridley. ;)
:p Close... but sadly no (you have to be a bit more ambitious when it comes to PM, especially in what to not expect)... though that gold Ridley can be a stand in.... right?

Anyways, is there more to 2.2 Ridley than what you've shown us BaganSmashBros BaganSmashBros ?

Bagan, seriously, if you ever do go back doing your Brawl Ridley mod and do a trailer for it, please take some notes from this video:

the very part where they show what canon reference did they take on doing Ganondorf's sword/sorcerer moveset is what really nailed the video. this even made naysayers go in awe on how Ganondorf is more properly represented in the unofficial PM mod unlike Sakurai taking (according to SG) "not-so-memorable hand movements" from Wind Waker and OoT that could match and implement on his Falcon-like model swap (how Sakural calls "clones") moveset.

imagine the Brawl Ridley trailer showing references of his pogo tail from Super Metroid and his gliding from Metroid Prime 1, and a scene showing off Ridley being 15% smaller from his orignal sprite and the tail/hammer comparasion with Dedede and Ridley.

think of that dude, i'll be gladly to offer you some more ideas if i have to.

That could work, but it might look like i just reused that guy's idea.
