Unlocking everything (Yes, it's a serious thread)

**** I feel like one of those new***s who asks silly questions regarding items as viable tourney play strat but here goes...

A store/LAN center in my area that hosts tournaments wants to expand their setups so it's not always required for attendees to bring their own. They bought five new wiis and CRT TVs, so we need to unlock stages and chars in one day so it's ready for the tournament the following weekend. Here's my scrub question:

Does anyone know what the fastest route to unlocking everything is?

Sub-space emissary?

1-stock 300% matches?

Any other little tricks?

I know something like 450+ matches is required for every character and that includes matches that are 1 stock and essentially sudden death matches, BUT. Would playing through subspace emissary on say, easy mode, be faster?

A quick response thats -not- a troll (lol this is inviting it, I know) would be appreciated.

They're a company, a company who deals with sponsorships, and being considered "Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony approved" hence, they'll turn a blind eye to customers bringing in modified equipment for one time deals, but they themselves can't use modded equipment.

Thanks for the input though, genuinely.

Print out an "Unlock CHaracters/Stages" page, and do Stamina mode+Flower-head. Set one character to 1HP, and all matches will last 1 second doing this. Just follow the unlock guides for everything, by playing these 1-second matches with the characters, and on the stages you need to.

Hanenbow needs to be unlocked via event, but that shouldn't be too much trouble.

Thats the fastest method out there. Gets everything unlocked in two hours. Between 5 Wiis, thats faster than playing SSE on ONE Wii.

I know you stated that you wanted options besides 1 stock matches, but if you do Flower Fast 1 HP two player with no random characters (load times) I think it's pretty fast. Boring though.

EDIT: Oops I should have read the whole thread.

Yes the stamina mode+flower head+fast on special brawl 450+ times is the quickest way I know. Just make sure to put he CPU on 1 stamina.
I practically lay there watching youtube, pressing start every few seconds. too easy.

Search up on how to unlock stages, most can be unlocked by playing with a character a specific amount of times.

When I first saw this, I thought you meant stickers and trophies and stuff. But yeah, what everyone else said is the fastest way. Subspace on intense could be done like 8 hours or something like that while getting like 97& done. But that's way too long and very inefficient efficient.

1. Bring all incomplete chars/stages Wii to your home
2. Install Homebrew Channel
3. Get Save Importer/Exporter App
4. Download and import 100% Brawl Savefile
5. Uninstall Homebrew Channel
6. Eat Taco
7. Bring back Wiis
8. ????
9. PROFIT!!

(and Yes, I am partially serious about the steps :D )

Or you could just do the flower thinh on 1 wii, then delete the brawl files on the other wiis, then copy the complete brawl data on to the other wiis.

That or just hold 5 controllers in your lap while hitting start every few seconds while watching a movie. I recommend Red Dawn. Friggin' awesome.

cant copy brawl save files without the means of using homebrew, which i suggest you do since it's not illegal, and you can just remove homebrew afterwards =P

Ive always heard of an easier way then that, but that should be good...

Or you can always gain some rep by throwing a brawl party at your house with 5 wiis going at once.

Does subspace open all chars and stages? I lost my save, but might do it the inefficient way just for fun.

Since the fastest method has already been established, I want to say it would be way more fun to get of your friends, and have a competition to see who can get through Subspace the fastest. Every puts in 5 dollars to make it interesting.

there is a hombrew code that i used when i ran into this same issue hours b4 a tourney. other than that pick sonic, 1 stock matches against anyone and run off the stage and repeat like 1000+ times for character unlocks. CP stages i dont know how to unlock each one, but good luck.

It's likely as soon as we're done unlocking, we'll just be making it a casual and practicing for the upcoming tourney. It's not 5 wiis being rotated off of one tv btw folks. It's 5 full setups.

I do like the subspace emissary gambling challenge though. Good **** angel.

Sucks that modded/hacked wiis cannot be used in official style tourneys. even though I cant go to them, i still practice like i will be. hidden offline pros FTW.

Exactly, thats why you"Dont hack", instead, you use the Stacksmash loader (Gecko os without homebrew) and use that to use codes and unlock everything. from what i remember, it is not stored in any logs, and is undetectable. this is also used for loading Brawl+ (which auto unlocks all characters i believe) and balance brawl.

not sure where to find it though

This would be the quickest way without the home brew channel.

There is such an easy way without homebrew channel.
Get an SD card, get the right maps in it, download a full USA 100 procent clear safe file that somebody uploaded on a site and the go to your date and memory on your wii. Then remove all the old data and get on the new one. This 5 times and you have everything 100 procent.

More people should know about this really.
Its not even illigal, Nintendo made it possible theirselfs =D They kinda forgot you could just put full memory's on the internet, but yeah..
Google wiisave.

Or if you're set on not using homebrew, see if you can scrounge up one of those ****ty gamestop gamecube controllers with the "rapid fire" function and set start to rapid. Put it on that 1HP mode and wrap a rubber band around the controller and walk away.

It'll take roughly 24 hours because it'll keep starting and stopping during the match, but you don't have to sit there.

There is a no hacking homebrew method you can look up in the workshop, would require one sd card and no custom stages on any wii, would take 30 mins tops. If you are against any hacking (despite the fact that the no homebrew method is totally undetectable) then stamina flower is the best

I did SSE and challenges to unlock everything. SSE for characters and challenges for certain stages, and I just SD'd 20 times to get ones that require you to use a certain character or play on a certain stage a certain number of times.

For characters, the fastest method is to use the SSE.
For CDs and stickers, the best method is to use a CD factory of some sort. This can be sped up with the use of wavebirds if you have them (Phanna made a youtube video showing this off), but since most people don't, a standard CD factory works well.
For trophies, I don't actually know the best way, but it's probably either coin launcher or maybe Celebi.
For Boss Battles, there are multiple guides on it for multiple characters.
For MultiMan Melee (specifically 15-minute Melee), the best character to use is most likely either Fox or Meta Knight, as both have extremely fast, effective tools to shake off opponents. Planking destroys cruel Melee if you need to.
For finishing matches quickly, I found one-stock matches on Halberd seemed to work well for a default stage.
For Classic Mode on Very Hard speedrunning to reach Crazy Hand, I find it best to pray for Link or Ganondorf on Bridge of Eldin for the first match and then dthrow pseudo-cg them to the edge of the stage since they always airdodge after an attack, then pray for either Giant Yoshi, regular Yoshi, or DK/Diddy on Rumble Falls (basically anything but 75m.) After that fighting on Castle Siege against pretty much anything usually is fine. If you can get past Castle Siege with no problems and each fight was less than 20-30 seconds, you're usually in the clear and can take up to 1 minute for most battles with breathing room, and you'll generally be fine for the rest of the way as long as you do not happen to fight a giant Kirby character, Giant Sonic, or Giant Snake. Giant Sonic is the most likely to suicide of the 3 though, so if you see him you can stay near the edge and pray he rolls into the blast zone before he kills you at like 20, but if he doesn't you're pretty much done. It's pretty much impossible to not lose a stock against Giant Snake AND beat him within a reasonable time, so generally you should just quit if you're horribly unlucky enough to see him and start over, which is usually sad considering he appears so late in the game.
