But yeah, we probly we will end up doing one no matter what. Maybe we should do a Smash 64 singles tourney since I do plan to set up the N64! And/or we could hold a Brawl tourney dedicated to Hylian since he is coming this time . Actually, I notice there is a brawl tourney on Dec 5th in dallas, hope that doesn't conflict.

Edit: Looks like Hylian is going to Phase 4...maybe we can have a Brawl tourney dedicated to Bored or JR5!

I meant that we'd be lucky enough to have two great smashers come to our meeting, AND have Clay's brother come all the way from DALLAS. To have that and not do a Brawl tourney would be a disappointment.

The only reason we banned MK in our recent Melee tourney is because he's so broken in melee that choosing him means it is impossible for you to lose (since you won't actually be playing ).
We have come to the firm conclusion that we will NEVER ban him in Brawl events.
Further, we have made a rule that whenever anybody faces Rohan in a Brawl tourney, they MUST use MK lol.

I hope this un-disappoints Hylian and un-dissuades him from coming to meetings. We don't like to dissuade anybody from coming!

Barlw tournaments are a disappointment. I'd rather play ****ing Naruto: Clash of Ninja competitively with Jesus Freak than ****ing Barlw.

You guys should also know that, unless some solid players show up, Hylian will probably just play Melee. It's not really about skill, it's just that playing people who spam roll and spot-dodge can only be tolerated for so long.

He and I went to this group's place to play Barlw (don't judge me!) and none of them knew how to play. All they did was roll around and ****. One guy played Fox and actually just ran around, spammed laser on the ground (didn't even bother to SHL), and rolled. Mostly just rolled. I recall it being the worst day of my life. At one point I excused myself to the bathroom and started cutting my wrists.

Even worse was that they said I was fun to play Barlw with. Perplexed by this, I asked why, and they said "because you play so aggressive!"

WELL NO ****ING ****. ALL YOU DO IS ROLL AND LASER!

Anyway, even Hylian got bored playing. After 30 minutes we spent the rest of the day playing Melee. We had a pretty fun level 1 tournament. Hylian's somehow really good at picking the right level 1. It's ****ing bull ****. But I won all of the level 9 tournaments. Probably because level 9 Ganon ****ing rules.

I think our next major event with entry fees/prizes should be the first meeting of next semester, probably Brawl singles. We could use some of the leftover prizes we have for 2nd and 3rd and get a $50 gift card for 1st place. This will give us time to do a good job of advertising it.

But as for the next meeting, I say we should do, in addition to friendlies of course, 3 informal events: brawl crew battle, smash 64 singles tourney, and melee singles tourney. This is as long as people at the meeting are interested in all these and we don't run out of time. An event for each (non-hacked) smash game ftw!

Josh probly can't make that but it looks like that championship doesn't start until 7pm on Dec. 5th, so we could have the meeting like 2-8pm on that day and it wouldn't conflict much.
