Erm, some peoples are also hinting at Pokemon teaser tomorrow. However, the games I actually only care about are action and RPG games. I hope there isn't a lot of strategy games.
I'm especially looking forward to the new Mario & Luigi game for Switch, but considering that the remake of the third game was released, I don't think I'll see it for a lot.
Anyways... Remember that nothing is ever officially confirmed. What the user said about upcoming games MIGHT be wrong.

I'm so glad the Direct is happening on the day and time I have just about no classes. Hoping we get some Animal Crossing news.
As for Smash newcomers I'll be satisfied if we get Edelgard or Erdrick (as well as anyone else).

I would really love to see DQ in Smash.
I may prefer Eight over Erdrick as a fighter, but having the franchise present in Ultimate is good enough for me already.
And with the pathetic days I had lately, I will take anything Nintendo reveals... Even if it is an Unreal Engine 4 remake of Bubsy 3D. Just getting a Direct is good enough for me.

I don't expect it is her or that we are getting a Three Houses rep, but let's say Edelgard was Brave. Of what we know of her so far, is there anything in the data to contradict that other than potentially Brave's height?

Slow down, please. Let me remind you that there is a rumor that Nintendo has a surprise IP announcement/new game that is not Mario, DQ, etc. Completely new, I mean. After all, weeks ago Nintendo said that they have at least one major IP announcement for this year.

It would be so ****ing awesome get a remake of the Oracle games, and the scrapped Oracle game that was supposed to involve Farore.
Can't say I'm expecting it, but one of my biggest dreams would be getting remakes of theseRupeesgems. I'll keep waiting.

Whoever ends up being “Brave” won’t make the chances of any other fighter over.
Edelgard, Erdrick, Steve, Agumon, Eight... It doesn’t matter. The identity of “Brave” doesn’t kill the chances of any of them.
We will have three more shots for this Fighter Pass to get them in, and if things go well a second one will come with more chances.

I know I might be annoying, and I will apologize for this but has anyone noticed that there is no mention of 3DS this time? There is just mention of Switch titles, no 3DS titles in the announcements.

My Direct wish list:
- Joker gameplay/release date
- Animal Crossing news
- Persona 4 Gold Switch port (yeah this one is a pipe dream)
- Some unexpected game that gets me hyped.
- Really detailed Three Houses footage.
- Dragon Quest collection or XI Switch port.
- Erdrick or Edelgard Smash reveal (or any of the other characters on my signature)

I did notice that there's so many people trying to squeeze so many characters into the whole "Brave" thing...like, there are literally 3 more characters after Brave, anyway. Brave isn't the final character ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hence why I said "One of".
I'm not excpeting it, but I hope it does. The Switch has promise so far.
I'm still hoping we get a Koopalings-type deal with Erdrick in that all of his alts are different DQ heroes. I recently started playing DQ8 and I think it'd be great to have Eight represented somehow.

Yes. Considering its success and how sometimes it even surpasses PS4 in sales, it will definitely surpass it.
Also, one thing to note is that PS4 sales have been declining. Despite the KH3 release, it hasn't improved so the last option is Monster Hunter. However, if MH also ends up on Switch, it will wreck that console off. And PS5 will likely not be liked or bought much if it's not like Switch.

Real talk though, I actually won’t care if Edelgard happens for real, she’s an obvious safe pick and is a smart decision on Ninty’s part anyway.
She’s got a cute design and she might use a different weapon so who knows?
But please no Byleth, I want some damn variety, we don’t need a fifth blue haired protagonist.
I still hope it’s someone else, there won’t be any Smash info for sure but I’m certain there’s gonna be a reveal at the Direct where they go “Oh and one last thing....”

Germany’s GameStop leaked the supposed release date for the Spyro Reignited Trilogy Switch port. The date, which was August 16th, got taken down shortly after. It would be a nice early birthday gift if true though but I’m still skeptical.
