Would a Metal Gear crashing into that game help? It appears at 2:00Oh no, not Locoroco! I used to find that game kind of creepy... somehow.
YES, RAIDEN, YESWould a Metal Gear crashing into that game help? It appears at 2:00
Even if you were born in 1999 you wouldn't be a '90s kid imo, I think being a person of a generation/decade means that you lived through and experienced that time. '90s kids are kids who lived in the '90s, not '90s babies.****, born in 2001. Barely missed it by a couple years.
If only I coulda been a glorious 90s kid.
Yeah, greatly. Thanks!Would a Metal Gear crashing into that game help?
I don’t know what to say about that. You know, I've been thinking about something that won't matter until years from now.
I kind of hope that for the next Smash Bros game, Smashboards bans newcomer support threads. I think they're more trouble than they're worth and really only serve to breed toxicity and elitist tribalism.
Furries? Where?I leave for 30 minutes and furries have taken over Discord.
I mean... there's good and bad that comes with that. You know, I've been thinking about something that won't matter until years from now.

Sounds like someone's having funI leave for 30 minutes and furries have taken over Discord.
I'd rather not.You know, I've been thinking about something that won't matter until years from now.

Great.I cant sing that but I can sing Simple and Clean and Sancuary word for word.
Furries? Where?
Apparently a Discord mod is abusing his power and furries are doing furry porn crap and illegal crud. People think the site is going to shut down. I wouldn't place my money on it, but still.Sounds like someone's having fun
I mean, from a practicality standpoint, there's nothing that can't just be discussed in a thread like this.I don’t know what to say about that.
There are some threads like Crash’s or Erdrick’s where I actually feel great posting on them.
From my experience on others, it seems like the bad stuff comes mostly from specific users and not the thread as a whole (In some Square characters threads it may be OptimisticStrifer, and in the Banjo thread a Piranha Plant fan who seems to have a bad reputation on the site). These can easily be fixed with the “Ignore” option, so they shouldn’t be a huge deal.
Oh ****. What was the server called?Apparently a Discord mod is abusing his power and furries are doing furry porn crap and illegal crud. People think the site is going to shut down. I wouldn't place my money on it, but still.
case in point: go back to the support thread of any grinch leak character and find posts from Nov 1I mean, from a practicality standpoint, there's nothing that can't just be discussed in a thread like this.
From a moderation standpoint, generally the people who post in a support thread are gonna be a bit fanatical about the character in question, and though not always, this can lead to toxicity, which is easily viewable in certain threads.
Nah man it ain't a discord server. This is going down on Discord as a whole.Oh ****. What was the server called?
Dragon Quest, Jump Force and/or Sonic Team Racing.Looking for help deciding on what games to buy.
For anyone unaware, Target is having a Buy-two-get-one-free sale on most of their videogames, including preorders. (Unfortunately almost all the good Switch/3DS games are exempt from the offer.) The catch is that, if you preorder it, it has to be shipping and their standard shipping is like 3-5 business days after release date. So I'm not using this for preorders I really want day one, like Mortal Kombat 11 or Anthem.
So here's my list of candidates. Which three should I choose?
Any others I should consider? (Preemptive side note: No. I'm not interested in Kingdom Hearts 3.)
- Ace Combat 7 (never played an AC game, heard good things about the story)
- Dragon Quest XI (never played a DQ game, this one seems really well received?)
- God Eater 3 (played GE2 on the Vita, it's fun)
- Jump Force (Because I'm a sucker for Kenshin.)
- Sonic Team Racing (The Sonic Racing games are good, and it's like the only Switch game on the list I want.)
- Biomutant (I kinda forget what made it seem cool at E3, actually.)
- Code Vein (I've never played Dark Souls and this is apparently anime Dark Souls, so I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna get it.)
So for my Sonic fighting game ideas, realities and timelines start bleeding into one another and one of the ways I wanted to show this is by having every stage be at least two levels/areas from previous Sonic games spliced together. I’d like some help thinking of two Sonic stages that would be visually and musically interesting spliced together.
Also wanna plug this kickass instrumental cover of Sonic Boom (don’t bother with the version with lyrics)
Yeah, but it's gonna become a needless cluster if ALL of the character talk is held in one thread.I mean, from a practicality standpoint, there's nothing that can't just be discussed in a thread like this
>Dragon Quest XI (dope RPG with neat visuals).Looking for help deciding on what games to buy.

Nah, I'm looking at it right now and it's fine. I don't see a horde of furries in the serves I'm in.Nah man it ain't a discord server. This is going down on Discord as a whole.
I'm not sure if I agree, they're little pockets of "safe spaces" to talk about a character and only that character. In generalized threads, discussion of that character might be considered off-topic or it might get drowned out by the masses. Are "safe spaces" always a good thing? Of course not, that's where those problems of toxicity and elitism come from but I don't think those things outweigh the benefits a support thread can provide like character synopsizes, movesets, and on-topic discussion of a character. You know, I've been thinking about something that won't matter until years from now.

Maybe Passion tho ill mess up words because I aint JapaneseGreat.
But can you sing Hikari and Passion?
No vendetta, it's just me goofin'.What’s with the vendetta against nostalgia? That’s a perfectly valid reason to include a character.
I wasn't referring to the furry invasions happening on loads of servers. Just certain ones. And boy is the minority loud.Nah, I'm looking at it right now and it's fine. I don't see a horde of furries in the serves I'm in.
i'd go AC7, code vein (though i'm waiting on reviews, it looks decent), and DQXI - i'll probably also pick up DQXI if erdrick gets in to get a feel for the franchise as a wholeLooking for help deciding on what games to buy.

This issue is that in threads like this, characters deemed "impossible/unlikely" will often be shut down, stifling discussion about them instead of encouraging it.I mean, from a practicality standpoint, there's nothing that can't just be discussed in a thread like this.

It worked well back in 2011 after Smash 4 was announced.Yeah, but it's gonna become a needless cluster if ALL of the character talk is held in one thread.
I mean, one of the issues is that it's never JUST about that one character.I'm not sure if I agree, they're little pockets of "safe spaces" to talk about a character and only that character. In generalized threads, discussion of that character might be considered off-topic or it might get drowned out by the masses. Are "safe spaces" always a good thing? Well, good thing that ain't happening in my servers lol.I wasn't referring to the furry invasions happening on loads of servers. Just certain ones. And boy is the minority loud.
Personal suggestion: get DQVIII for 3DS too.i'd go AC7, code vein (though i'm waiting on reviews, it looks decent), and DQXI - i'll probably also pick up DQXI if erdrick gets in to get a feel for the franchise as a whole
Just get Waluigi's Taco Stand, dude. Geez, are you an idiot? /sLooking for help deciding on what games to buy.

Press Garden Zone and Mystic Saloon zone would be really neat to see fused. They come from the same game, but have a large amount of contrast.

And I agree that those types of points are annoying, but I think that's a symptom of a greater problem. That's why I always call out the folks saying "why are we talking about _____?"This issue is that in threads like this, characters deemed "impossible/unlikely" will often be shut down, stifling discussion about them instead of encouraging it.
The support threads are a place for people to discuss characters without being told stuff like "ugh, why are you still talking about [x], we know it's not happening so just give it up."
Not that those kind of posts don't leak into the support threads because of trolls, but whatever.
