I still maintain that they HAD to make Corrin (and PP) really cool and interesting because otherwise nobody would have wanted them. It’s the worst reason to make the character cool. The character being cool should be their on top of them being popular.

To me, it’s like Spiral getting a spot in Marvel vs Capcom before Thor. One is an icon. Headlining their own series and bringing their own unique world to the table, and one is a little known obscure character from a series that already has enough characters in the game. I see that and I go “why are you doing that! They’re not needed! Go give this other series some more love”.

As someone who was initially salty after the results of the Nov. 1st Direct (not at all about Piranha Plant, mostly Ken), I'm glad things turned out this way. The most fun Smash characters are always the out there ones.

Imo, almost every character who was necessary in a Nintendo crossover, is here. I don't see why wild card characters would be a bad thing, these days.

Because the person didn't have art of Joker they could easily modify in Gimp/Photoshop to look sort of like a Smash render.
