the assassination of franz ferdinand set off a rapidly escalating chain of events: austria-hungary, like many in countries around the world, blamed the serbian government for the attack and hoped to use the incident as justification for settling the question of serbian nationalism once and for all.

Honestly given the fact that the leak said Robotnik would slowly lose his sanity until his after-credits scene shows him as a full blown Eggman, he looks pretty great. Because remember, in that image he's still a brilliant-but-eccentric government-backed scientist.

That being said, Jim Carrey's Eggman seems to be the ONLY positive thing thus far...
