Yugioh started as a manga, and was meant to be more than just the card game (which is actually called Duel Monsters)

Then they found their niche with the card aspect of the manga and it just stuck.

In all seriousness it just forces me to not autopilot--don't let for glory Macs fool you, when you don't throw a special out willy nilly you'll recover fine. I typically start having a problem at 120% and my ass is kissing the blastzone.

If I do get gimped, my friend chose villager and comboed me into the blast zone--which would've happened no matter who I'm playing as and kudos to them for a good play.

The first point you mentioned is...kinda irrelevant. Joker being in Smash is completely separate from Sony knowing what will be coming to their console, mainly because Persona 5: The Royal is Sony Exclusive.

At least, I would think Sony would have an idea.

While i’m not familiar with the games you mentioned, I still stand by my point that we’re talking about teenage characters wearing bathing suits, or a leotard.

My point was Sony seems to have double standard when it comes to their own games and third party anime games...

And yeah... but that argument has been talked about many times when they are just teenage characters... in a video game... complain on whether it's appropriate to wear has always been silly imo.

Frankly, in some cases the censorship thing seems like it doesn’t necessarily make a difference. If somebody gets off to characters in a game, they’ll find some other way to get themselves there. It’s that simple.

But eh, if they want to censor it, they’ll censor it.

I agree that most censorship aren't a big deal, but to some people they just don't like their game to be unfairly different compare to other versions.

Sony can censor anime games whatever they like since PS4 has never been that well in Japan compare to Nintendo Switch whereas PS4 is selling super well in the west, and how most anime games are "niche" as how many will say, so it all makes sense to be honest.

Now... I wanna talk about my own history with MCU movies,
I'm pretty sure about a half of MCU fans (See what I did there?) now, haven't really seen Iron Man in theaters, especially those who are born after the 2000s are highly unlikely to even see the first Avengers movie.
I have never really fond with MCU movies until I saw Iron Man and Captain America on TV. They weren't mindblowning just pretty good superhero movies.

And come to think of it, MCU's first phase actually wasn't really that good until Avengers, heck to most MCU fans it's probably the first MCU movie they have watched in theaters,

Phase two is somewhat on the contrary, most second phase movies were good, but Thor Dark World and Age of Ultron was mostly for MCU follow up.

Phase three nuff said, the best phase so far, only one I consider bad is Captain Marvel...

VIZ split the manga into 3 parts: Yu-Gi-Oh! (7 volumes), Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist (24 volumes) and Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium World (7 volumes). Lately though, they were compiled into omnibus' that keeps the single title...

Shadow games are illusions that cause people to perceive them as reality. He makes the illusion of this guy being hung, which in turn suffocates him.

My problem is that Sony is censoring the games, not for any proper reason. But because if they don't the angry feminists will hound them for it and the reason these kinds of individuals are going after persona now is because the franchise hit the big time with Smash bros.

Well, I wouldn’t necessarily point fingers at feminists. I mean, certainly there are people out there that can be obnoxious with their social justice, and while I would like to think their heart is in the right place there are some that don’t.

This is me saying that, and I devote a good portion of my teaching career discussing topics of social justice with my students. I’d even say that I myself am a feminist. There are extremes to it though, and I think some aspects of extremism are more damaging than helpful.

I think it’s all a moment for us to reflect. Are there some games with extreme sexual content? Yes, and there are games that revolve around it. However, I personally feel the answer comes not in trying to stop the content itself, but the interest in the content itself. We’ll (hopefully) never be in a society in the future which people are sexually repressed (although i’d argue some folks already have been), so there will always be the perverts. But realizing why there is an interest in these highly sexual games is the real question, or at least addressing the issues we have with sexuality and violence, imho.

I guess my biggest thing is, what has the bigger impact: censoring a character in a video game that wears a leotard, or actually campaigning for actual societal change? We’ve already seen plenty of change in society as it is. Continuing with that, and having women and people of color continue to be treated far better than they used to be, to me, is far more important than censoring a girl in a leotard.

I think my favorite part is the fact that Joey survived being ****ing killed by Marik. So in the anime, Joey goes through this dream sequence and isn't actually dead, but just comatose. Blah blah, Joey has magical dream and wakes up because he belieeeeeves.

I wish the anime had done more with ruthless Yami. It was such an interesting idea. This alternate side of Yugi who's so goddamn good at Duel Monsters, but he's also really likely to kill his opponent if you let him.
