How are backgrounds in stage builder gonna work? The editor made it look like you could use the backgrounds from other stages.

I see what you mean, but here’s my next question.

What’s the difference between Banjo getting in as a “western pick” and a series like Resident Evil, a worldwide beloved series, getting a reveal at E3 because it’s loved everywhere?

Sure, they’re both Japanese made. But Resident Evil carries the appeal. Personally, I just don’t think that’s how Sakurai would choose the characters. There’s no doubt that Erdrick and Dragon Quest are heavily loved by the Japanese, but I don’t think Banjo would be picked because of that. It fits a convenient reveal schedule, but I think a top tier gaming franchise like Resident Evil fulfills the same role just as well, if not better that Banjo.

Like, we’re analyzing it as an “eastern” and “western” pick, but i’m not even sure if that’s how the big man thinks about it. He did with Ridley, but that’s the first newcomer at E3, which he addressed as such.

I mean, part of it is I don’t think we’re getting western picks, but Banjo is also a pipe dream that I will not allow myself to actually expect because i’d get set up for MASSIVE disappointment. But if it happened, it’d be ****ing lit.

I was homeschooled because no kindergarten reasonably wanted to put up with me.

Apparently it's usually harder to figure out girls hit somewhere on the spectrum, you wouldn't know that with me.

But whenever the idea of me going to a public school came up when I got older I balked, because by then I knew from television what bullying was and my fragile glass case of emotions ain't about that life.

If that was the case, all my stages would have either the Mementos background, or Dracula's Castle.

I'm serious when I say that I hoped Joker had a Demi-Fiend alt skin like his dancing game. Although I guess their focus for this pack was mainly about Persona, which is why it lacked any mainline SMT stuff. I'm hoping that the Nocturne remake gets released around the time the project plan for the next Smash game starts, if all the stars align then a miracle might happen and Demi-Fiend is playable in the next game.

Unfortunately I know of some cases where parents homeschool their kids in order to force their own beliefs/views onto them. Not saying this is the case for everyone with homeschooling or the idea in general abd I respect any parent or legal guardian dedicated to giving their children a proper education and effectively prepare them for the real world, I just hold little respect parents that force their agendas onto their kids.

Honestly, Sakurai pretty much nailed it when he said "The Persona style we've come to love started with 3", 'cause that is where the stuff the series got popular and known for started. TBH, I view P3 as P1 more than I do the actual P1. :drshrug:

Yeah, that’s more than a little disrespectful, if you catch my drift.

I’m religious myself, but forcing your religion onto someone is in no circumstance ok, if you ask me.

I do find it amusing as an outside how the first two games in the series, despite being different, are pretty much completely ignored by the companies involved.

Banjo wouldn't get in as a Western rep, he'd get in to fulfill fan desires and/or make closer ties with Microsoft. The only reason why people bring up the whole Western and Japanese thing is because people act like Western characters are impossible, with some people even acting like Sakurai is very prejudiced when it should be fairly apparent that isn't the case based on the Shovel Knight AT, him listening to Western fans, him bothering to come over to the West anyway and letting a translator help him, and him liking Western games including Minecraft.

P1 and the two P2 games weren't that popular, from what I've heard. They apparently didn't age great and just overall never captured the same amount of attention P3 did.
