I learned long ago that people care more about ****posts than anything with actual effort. We truly do post in a society.
I would be satisfied with that ( Even if Steve did not make it in ;-; ).So, we're looking at:
That's a mighty fine DLC pass if I do say so myself.
- Joker
- Erdrick
- Banjo-Kazooie/Master Chief
- Resident Evil/Phoenix Wright
- Tales of/KOS-MOS
Official lyrics thankfully dictate that they're being misheardit might be misheard lyrics, but i'm 99.9% sure on this one
I don't believe in a "Microsoft rep". I believe in Banjo-Kazooie. That duo is the last of the "King K. Ridley" type characters alongside Geno. A long-running, frequent, hugely requested character for Smash sense 64. It feels weird to have to explain that to the people here. Like, I'm not exactly the oldest person here, but I remember they hype culture from 3DSU era. Banjo and K. Rool were the two most consistently requested characters. To the point where people who didn't even want them supported them for the sake of the movement. It's sad to see that that culture has apparently died off. People suggesting Banjo was the spark of us even believing that a Microsoft character was even possible! He's important to Smash itself, beyond individual nostalgia. And the fact that that doesn't matter to many of you is deeply disturbing to me.Hey guys, I know I said this before, but...
What if there WASN'T a Microsoft rep? Like, we all overhyped ourselfs thinking one was in? Then what?
i really do wish that we could see our most liked postI learned long ago that people care more about ****posts than anything with actual effort. We truly do post in a society.
Actually that entire section isn't even included in the official lyrics, so we really don't know what's being said.Official lyrics thankfully dictate that they're being misheard
goddammit who's gonna avenge the fallen now
I know, I frequent support threads. Also, imagine still being salty about Piranha Plant.
Yes, those people still exist.

Man, if we could get KOS-MOS despite everything going against her, I be the happiest man alive.I think Mii Costumes returning and DLC Spirits are one of the most interesting points for speculation. From them we can assume the following:
Furthermore, Joker's incredibly faithful representation has ramifications for DLC as a whole if we assume that every character will receive similar treatment. This effects Heihachi and Tekken fighters specifically. Sakurai said that incorporating Tekken's 3D movement in Smash was too difficult to include him in Smash 4, and I feel like, for DLC, if he can't incorporate Tekken's movement Heihachi, or any Tekken character for that matter, is highly unlikely.
- DLC Mii Costumes from Sm4sh will likely return
- this isn't entirely true since the Akira costume from Virtua Fighter did not return
- This specifically affects Geno, Monster Hunter, Lloyd, and Heihachi
- Series with Spirits are at a disadvantage in terms of getting new fighters.
- Spirits might literally disconfirm characters.
So then, who's left?
In terms of Capcom, I feel like @Scoliosis Jones' point about Dante and Amaterasu is correct. We know for a fact Dante is out (), and I feel like Kamiya would know if Amaterasu was in given that he and Sakurai are friends. Sakurai would, at the very least, talk to Kamiya about Amaterasu's inclusion. So, Ammy is out. For the sake of the argument we'll say Megaman and Street Fighter are out since they already have characters and spirits that are in. This leaves two series from my point of view:
I'd give Resident Evil the advantage simply because it is undeniably one of Capcom's most popular and best selling series. However, the popularity and longevity of the Phoenix Wright franchise alongside the series' strong ties to Nintendo are not to be underestimated. I do feel like Resident Evil is more conducive to Mii Costumes, however.
- Resident Evil, and
- Phoenix Wright
In terms of Square Enix Dragon Quest simply makes the most sense, especially alongside all the other points in Erdrick's favor. I suppose Kingdom Hearts could be possible if Disney plays along, but that's highly unlikely. We get Erdrick as a fighter and other heroes as Mii Costumes (+ a Slime Hat) and Spirits. The Geno and Chocobo Mii Costumes also return (sorry Geno fans)
Namco is harder to figure out given that both Heihachi and Lloyd, the two most popular speculation picks, have Mii Costumes that could very likely make a return. Going based off of my prior argument against Tekken, we'll assume that it's out. So, who's left?
These are ranked in order of likelihood. I strongly believe in a Tales of character, but KOS-MOS is a dark horse pick given that she seems to be the de facto mascot of Namco in crossover games. Agumon is mentioned
- A Tales of character (*that isn't Lloyd)
- It could still be Lloyd given Sakurai's statement about Lloyd being "the only choice" for Tales of characters
- KOS-MOS
- Agumon
solely for the sake of appeasing Graizenbecause it's possible. Bonus points if the character is Lloyd and they start by revealing his Mii Costume.
Our final DLC fighter is going to either Banjo & Kazooie or Master Chief (I'd lean towards Banjo Kazooie). Steve and the character who doesn't get in between Banjo and Chief will be a Mii Costume. I'd bet on a Creeper Hat as well, and maybe we also get other characters from the Halo series as Mii Costumes (the Plasma Sword will be used for a Mii Swordfighter costume).
So, we're looking at:
That's a mighty fine DLC pass if I do say so myself.
- Joker
- Erdrick
- Banjo-Kazooie/Master Chief
- Resident Evil/Phoenix Wright
- Tales of/KOS-MOS
Depends on what you didn't like. If you weren't a fan of writing, don't expect Persona 5 to outdo it.
Depends on what you didn't like.
Okay, lemme try and remember the game. I only got like five hours in or so while on vacation playing on the plane. That depends, what didn't you enjoy about P4? If it was the writing then aaaaahahahahahaha P5 will make you scream into your pillow at night
>symbolicThe Wasp with her symbolical penis armor
Oh, you poor poor thing. Have a seat over hereI know, I frequent support threads.
Oh, it's definitely possible. There's nothing super concrete hinting at Banjo or Steve, at least not on the level that Erdrick has. So it's possible that we could get neither.Hey guys, I know I said this before, but...
What if there WASN'T a Microsoft rep? Like, we all overhyped ourselfs thinking one was in? Then what?
>le "Nintendo is random and Reggie said DLC would be unexpected argument"I would be satisfied with that ( Even if Steve did not make it in ;-; ).
This is a good prediction, but just remember.
Reggie said that DLC is going to be "unexpected".
I think a part of it is that getting to work with 3rd parties is a huge privilege and Sakurai realizes that. That's what I meant by " I understand the idea of roster work-load".
And what everyone is saying is true. ALL characters have been getting more and more attention to detail in the last couple games. It's just disappointing to see some of those original icons without any alternate costumes or the mechanics from their games. Add to that the DLC characters getting things like totally unique inputs (Ryu) or new celebration mechanics (Joker)... and it just makes you sad for what other characters might be under different circumstances.
Then you probably wouldn't like P5. Its script destroys P4 in terms of length, it's still a high school sim (albeit with less filler) and there's still only one battle theme for the most of the game.Okay, lemme try and remember the game. I only got like five hours in or so while on vacation playing on the plane.
- I liked the aesthetics. The visual style was cool and Chie was awesome.
- Far as English voices for a very Japanese game, the voices weren't bad at all. I mostly liked the cast.
- I didn't like the overabundance of dialogue. It felt like they took ten minutes to say what could have been said in two, and I was just hitting the X button repeatedly to get through it.
- I didn't like the Shenmue-lite style of micromanaging your schedule and navigating the school to find certain rooms for... I don't even remember what. I dunno. Maybe it was because I was playing on mobile, but I remember getting really, really bored waiting to get to parts that mattered. I didn't know I was signing up for a Japanese high school life sim.
- That one song on ****ing repeat. I don't remember the lyrics but goddamn play a different song.
My memory's hazy since this was like three years ago in the middle of a vacation but yeah. I could boot up my save file and see how far I got.
Well I guess there wouldn't be a Microsoft rep then.Hey guys, I know I said this before, but...
What if there WASN'T a Microsoft rep? Like, we all overhyped ourselfs thinking one was in? Then what?
> tmw at the last moment you know who's reveal trailer comes and saves your persona and soul from a super close ****ing bulletAlso we're likely getting a double character reveal at E3 now.
One character releases after the presentation, the other is revealed.
now i face out- That one song on ****ing repeat. I don't remember the lyrics but goddamn play a different song.
But anyway, let's go down the list.Okay, lemme try and remember the game. I only got like five hours in or so while on vacation playing on the plane.

Considering that racist homophobe who Source Gaming seemingly fired is still screaming about anime sword characters in Smash cause of Joker I'm not surprisedAlso, imagine still being salty about Piranha Plant.
Yes, those people still exist.
ugh yeah man, i really can't wait until that sweet sweet sense of relief when the trailer starts and you hear it fade in> tmw at the last moment you know who's reveal trailer comes and saves your persona and soul from a super close ****ing bullet

You are correct, I suppose.>le "Nintendo is random and Reggie said DLC would be unexpected argument"
These characters are unexpected to everyone but the small minority of fans who frequent this one topic on this one forum. I assure they're still unexpected by a large majority of people.
This is putting the point that Reggie's statement was obviously PR for the game aside. Seriously. Who the **** is going to say "All of the characters will be expected so you know what's coming" for their console-seller mega hit title of 2018?
No one. That's who.
when that violin grows in intensity and a new dawn rises on super smash brothersugh yeah man, i really can't wait until that sweet sweet sense of relief when the trailer starts and you hear it fade in
Yeah because Smashboards is a good site and decided to ****ing delete the text I added there. At least delete the ****heads smhThis post terrifies me, ngl
EDIT: I quoted a blank post
I still can't believe that Fantano would give the Minecraft soundtrack a 8/10 while he gave BTS and MBDTF both 5 and 6/10.ugh yeah man, i really can't wait until that sweet sweet sense of relief when the trailer starts and you hear it fade in
...Well well well!Oh hey here’s a small small update on my Pyra drawing from yesterday

You know why I don't care? Because core fan requests have been shown to only go so far.I don't believe in a "Microsoft rep". I believe in Banjo-Kazooie. That duo is the last of the "King K. Popping the BIGGEST bottles when Phoenix's final smash is the triple objection from Dual DestiniesYou may ask yourself. "Why should Phoenix Wright be in Smash? A Resident Evil character makes more sense, and what would he even do for a Final Smash?"
Simple.
Out-do Joker.
I rest my case. Best Final Smash hands down. Y'all need to hop on the Phoenix train.
Nothing about Joker in Smash feels real.can you believe this is the new reality
