I don't know what it is, but I could just never get into Mortal Kombat. I actually like the violence, but I always felt like the characters moved really "stiffly". I think it's probably just because I play so much Smash that when I'm locked into the "always face forward, only move a few feet" style, it just feels bad to me.

So what's different this time around? I know there's probably tons of new stuff, but the only thing I noticed was that the XRay thing looked a little different. Any big changes or is it more of an iterative sequel, building on the mechanics of the previous?

(Not crap talking MK, I'm sure it's great. But I was pretty bored through the trailer and thought other people would be too. But everyone else seems hyped, so I assume I'm missing something)

The biggest change from a fighting game perspective is the separate gauges for offensive and defensive techniques, the supers being relegated to when your health is below 30%, and the use of X-ray moves in regular gameplay and not just supers. But if you've never warmed up to MK gameplay, this isn't going to be any different, really.

Aesthetically, it's basically Injustice 2 but with MK characters instead of DC characters. There'll be loads of content, a story mode, new characters, etc. Good sequel, but a standard sequel.

Yeah, I’m a smashboards poster. Along with that I know many things that most don’t know about these communities. Opossum isn’t part of the actual ultimate social community and I’m not saying that because I don’t like them. I’m saying that based off of years of research.

I was doing some research on why the heck people find that stuff appealing, but I wasn't sure, so that is probably why it popped up.

I'm glad Incineroar is in, he's literally the best. But i'm not glad we got only two characters, I think at least one more base roster non-echo wouldn't be too much to ask for.

Also, yeah, I agree. Aside from Jigglypuff, (who, coincidentally, was my first Pokemon in any form of Pokemon media.) Incineroar has to be my favorite Pokemon.

Given that Piranha Plant is a fighter who has less to animate than someone with a normal human body and still couldn't make the base game, I think you'd be better off hoping for one more echo.

Even though it'd never happen I'd love it if Disney actually went through with the idea in that one old concept art to make a Disney fighting game. Partly because I'm a big Disney fan and partly because EVO 20XX Grand Finals being between a Tigger main and an Olaf main would be hilarious.

Honestly as soon as they didn’t start off the direct immediately with a trailer, I knew the leak was fake in my heart. In my soul I could tell they we’re going to reveal piranha plant as a playable fighter near the end off the direct too.

Yeah, I made a roster where I gave every character an echo, and ZSS was definitely the hardest.

I think I eventually gave up on logic and made it Holly Blue Agate from Steven Universe.

Honestly I could go on and on about this guy. The fur texturing, and model overall is amazing. Great character design, amazing voice acting, lots of personality, and a fun playstyle! What's not to love?
