Still think both a nintendo and Smash direct are going to happen this month. I also think Smash will also get another dedicated direct in E3 just like with 4.
I can get where you're coming from. I feel like the Stat thing was done to make Shulk stand out more from other Swordsmen. Though Monado Purge could have been more unique had Cloud not been in the game with Blade Beam. I'm curious as to how Cyclone would work without being broken.
Yeah, I know why they made him like that, but I don't... like it.
You could add a durability mechanic to Roy's Binding Blade to make him more unique, but it wouldn't exactly be something I like.
With pet rent being 55$s a month on top of having to properly feed it and change out it's litter, I'm not sure I have the money to afford one right now, so I'm not getting on yet. But I still really want one.
While I don't like changing characters for no reason, are there any characters would want to re-work, and why? It can be single moves or complete overhauls. Since I main Mega Man, I think the only move I would change is his Side-B to Pile Driver from Mega Man 11 to give him some Horizontal recovery, or Ice Slasher since I thought it was a fun Custom move. But I wouldn't change too much else moveset wise as he's meant to be a Zoner.
Make use Urvan in his Up and Down Smashes. Make F-Smash create a shockwave projectile when charged.
On a smaller note, give and hitboxes on their Guardian Orbitars, like in the source material. Right now that move is arguably the worst reflector in the game.
There is no reason to give Link a massive overhaul to represent BOTW. The Remote Bombs, Sword Beams, and reworked arrows were enough. Getting rid of Spin Attack for Revali's Gale would be dumb as it would remove an iconic attack that appeared in all games since LTTP, including BOTW, and Daruk's protection and Urbosa's Fury would not translate well into Smash. And just forcing him to use different weapons such as axes, spears, and the Master Sword would similar to Villybelle, G&W, and Inkling would just be tacky. The only thing that I would do for further BITW representation is that Link should open the paraglider after Spin Attack
I understand where you're coming from, but you can take artistic liberties with a move-set and still have it function classically as the character is understood by the masses. Idon
already gave good points on how the Champion's abilities could be incorporated into his move-set. If I were to make any modifications, it'd be like this:
-Revali's Gale gives Link a windbox upon ascending, and can only be used three times. It is the regular spin attack without the windbox otherwise, and lacks said windbox when using the grounded version. Think of it as a sword version of DK's recovery.
-Daruk's Protection could just be the shield itself, not unlike Yoshi's egg as a shield.
-Urbosa's Fury would actually affect the ground version of his spin attack, to where if charged all the way will create a small AOE around him. To compensate for how busted this move can end up being (despite its range being nerfed already), it has a huge cool-down period until it can be used again.
-Mipha's Grace would just be another aesthetic part of BOTW!Link's move-set, appearing after every time Link returns to the stage (i.e. you see her spirit floating down with him for support).
The only move I would change indefinitely is the boomerang. Utterly useless in BOTW. You can change that to Stasis instead. Have a reticle with chains spawning from up, down, left, and right in a localized area; give it a bit of startup so it isn't "Explosive Flame/Witch Time, but better!"; and allow it to affect objects that can be interacted with as well. To prevent it from being an even more absurd version of the pitfall mechanic, give it a long recharge period as well to prevent abuse, or at least decrease the rate in which it stays active the more it's used (though its cool-down mechanic would carry over from BOTW).
While I do like Bowser Jr's moveset as it is (from a conceptual/creativity perspective at least), I still kinda wished that the moveset focused less on his Clown Car and more on Junior.
Because all he actually does himself right now is swing a hammer and... that's pretty much it.
Not gonna go into specifics, b/c I'm a lazy guy and I'm not trying to come up w/ a moveset in the middle of the night.
Yeah, that's likely a consequence of each Koopa Kid being a costume. Each one has like 1 or 2 unique traits, not to mention Jr's stuff that might not make sense for the others to do, so might as well put them in the clown car and keep them consistent.

It'd be cool if Ike had his Blade Beam. I would put that over Down-B, since we've got more than enough characters with Counters, what with Little Mac, All FE characters barring Robin, K.Rool, 3 Pokemon, Peach/Daisy and Shulk.
The game comes out on July 26th. It's a retelling written by the original script writer in which Satsuki is the main character instead of Ryuko. And I'm very ****ing excited to play it.
Having the excellent dub cast is just icing on the cake. I didn't figure they'd do it.

Verily so, but it's complicated. Video game music encompasses a wide variety of music genres. It just so happens that most of it instrumental and made to fit with the ambience of a dungeon, or level, or theme and mood. When you have that sort of music to choose from when walking about in your daily routine, you can set up situations where your life has its very own soundtrack. That's how I feel about video game music anyway...

-Give him his blade beam. Just because Cloud has one now doesn't mean he shouldn't.
-Let him grab ledges backwards again.
-Have his lemons travel full screen, but have them flinch opponents up to a certain range while they function as Fox's lasers from full screen.
-Give him a proper up smash and down smash. The ones he currently has have tiny-****ing hitboxes with godawful knockback and sour-spots.
-Fix her down tilt so she can pop opponents up to lead into fairs easier.
-Give her a bit of aerial momentum so she can bully in the neutral better.
