You know what else is great about PP?

If you do a 2-player Smashdown, you’ll get 35 rounds and one poor sap left over.

NOT ANYMORE!!

Honestly, I'm glad it seems like they're going guns blazing for the DLC this time.

I know it's minor but, the lack of Guidances made the DLC characters in 4 really stick out.

for the last time the she wasnt the plant it was the-

this is the best ****ing thing ive seen all day
Nah, troll characters have a reliable cheese method that works on bad players.
PP looks like you'll actually have to be good with him and his setups.

You can just tell Nintendo gave them a higher budget for the DLC, this time...

Hopefully, that means we get some crazy characters

Hmmm... in that case, I’m just gonna assume plant unlocks after beating a boss
Yeah, that's my assumption.

It would've kinda ruined the atmosphere if you immediately got the DLC characters before Kirby even moved.

Kirby: ...Everyone's gone, I'm all alone... ... ... ...Oh, hey, look! A Piranha Plant! And Joker! Yaaaaaay, friends!

Piranha Plant is very weird, but it's Neutral, Side and Down Special Attacks hit super hard (if you can land them).
Side Special fully charged does insane amounts (around 40%) but it relies on the opponent actually staying in it. I still think it's a decent move to throw out but nothing more. Maybe as a tool on ledge to get some free damage off, idk.

Neutral special feels like the type of thing that'll be REALLY annoying to play against if the Plant player knows what they're doing. Does pretty good damage and is hard to predict as well if you don't know what to look for (from what I can tell, it goes further the closer the ball is to Plant when you launch it).

Not a fan of down special tbh. Don't like that you have to charge it up for it to go far, and it seems really predictable.

Just my opinion.

It's almost like Piranha Plant was part of the main game that didn't make the release date cutoff. *cough*
Unnecessary sarcasm aside, this is a good point. PP clearly was designed before all other DLC and may have been at one point part of the main game.

Though I think all will be added to the banner, this is not good evidence.

I think the way to properly use PP's Side Special is to throw it out and then grab the target to keep them in the damage area... unless your opponent is an idiot or low-level CPU and just stands in it.

It'll probably be a useful tool in doubles if PP is paired with a character who can bury opponents.

All that aside, it's pretty good against bosses, since they have giant hitboxes and are often slow-moving.

We all know Piranha Plant was designed alongside the base game at this point.

I just hope and pray the rest of the DLC follows it its potsteps.

As I suspected, Piranha Plant seems like a tricky character based around traps and stage control. In order to play him you probably need to thing strategically.

Side special doesn't cause opponents to flinch but it does create a "danger zone" that will cause them to take a lot of damage if they try to pass through, so it grants you stage control. Neutral special isn't a zoning tool but it flies at an angle difficult to deal with at the ledge, and you can use it to cover aerial approaches when you use his side special to protect you from grounded ones. Down special is good when you expect an opponent to over commit to something or when you have advantage. I'm still experimenting with it but I think it might be worth charging as you jump backwards to use as a sort of zoning tool.

Despite all of his power I have a tough time killing with him. He has powerful F-smash and Bair and his spike ball seems to kill as well, but you'll have to have patience and take advantage of PP's stage control to land them.

Did you forcefully update the game on the switch home menu?

Press start while highlighting the game on the Switch home menu. You'll find it there.

I think Incineroar has been buffed across several moves.

Up Smash Attack - Extended launch distance.
Up Air Attack - Shortened the amount of time you cannot grab edges after using the move.
Down Air Attack - Shortened the landing time after using the move.
Up Throw - Extended launch distance.
Up Special - Extended vertical and horizontal distance.

So... there you go.
Good, now we get to recover.

I waited half an hour to get into a web chat to get my Plant code.

I was almost at the front of the queue, then it got cancelled because they don't web chat past 6:30 PM.

I guess I'm just not getting Piranha Plant until he's purchaseable.

I am looking forward to all those young little suckers who didn’t read the patch notes to die due to failed Chrombo.

It's in the email that is tied to your MyNintendo. Are you looking at the right one?

So went onto the wiki site and I got to say the fourth stage for Piranha Plant feels rather out of place?

:ultkrool:and:ultchrom:?

Not too knowledgeable about Fire Emblem but did Chrom ever have any association with pirates in the game he appeared in?

At the very least, the Chrombos in general still appear to exist. They just die first otherwise. I might be wrong on this, but I don't think other than losing Chromicide's advantage, he got any real nerfs?

His Classic is about facing newcomers. So some got grouped together, though some might feel oddly, I guess.

Best I can stretch it is Chrom is manly, and King K. Rool is a pirate, making it a loose Wario Land connection.
