Oh yeah, it ****ing sucks.

What's worse is that the in-game quality of music is compressed to hell and back and sounds really ****ing terrible and the only "real" version of the tracks come from the official OST release.

However, that release doesn't come with the actual full songs, just one loop of them. So essentially, the 15 minute long adaptive music is lost to the aether and you can only hear them in ****ty PS2 quality.

It's weird. In found a video compiling all the unreleased music, and only the battle music is suffering from problematic compression. The rest of the music seems pretty good.

Yeah, that's the OST version of the tracks. All the unreleased versions are purely in the OST release and aren't ever put in game.

In the actual game, all the music sounds like, to put it lightly, trash. The music itself is banging rock and roll, but it sounds like it's played from a nokia from 2005. Unfortunately there's extensions of certain songs which aren't on that OST release so the "full" tracks of them just don't exist anymore.
