On a serious note, I kinda wished we knew if spirits really do deconfirm. My top 2 are both highly speculated characters that are already spirits, so I’d like to know the reality of this situation instead of holding on to false hope.

Honestly the fact that there's more evidence suggesting that Spirits deconfirm than otherwise should say enough

Nah mate, my laurels aren't really about any leak creditability. I've just never really gotten into any huge Smash speculation discussion since like... What, The Game Awards when Sora was a heavy push?

I did read a few rough translations of the posts, its pretty much explanations about the polls and characters chosen. Seems that there are quite a few notorious characters in the ballot and a few franchises had votes counted from the possible reps of the franchise, DQ, FF and Pokemon were strong in this regard. Apparently the reason why the leaker thinks Velvet is in is due to the Tales character not having a sword and being a girl. The poster also mentioned DQ1 protagonist Alef and the hero from DQ3.
