I even asked a couple of people here on a few occasions on whether or not they think I'm a guy or a girl. And every time they correctly stated that I'm a guy...

Truthfully, I think most people bought it solely for the zombie modes. In fact, it was even more popular than the main game itself, and it pretty much spawned a sub-genre of zombie shooting games, as well as contributing to the whole zombie craze of media, before it got oversaturated and eventually died off (heh) as a result.

Maybe it's because our chosen language on here is befitting a cisgendered guy. There are ways of speaking that are more masculine/feminine or more gender neutral.
I'm lucky in that I've always been completely comfortable being cisgendered. I don't always like how the modern western male acts, but I've never really wanted to be anything else.

I don't think anyone's assumed I was a girl, despite all my Dark Samus paraphernalia. Probably because it's obvious that not every Metroid fan with Samus on their profile is a girl.
Now, I know at least one person has assumed that I had a romantic attraction to Dark Samus, and I'm sure many more have assumed that silently. That ain't true. Nothing but respect for my ghostly galactic conqueror.

I really relate to this.
I find a lot of Stereotypical male behavior pretty dumb, but I always knew I didn't have to be a moron to be a guy. Even at a young age.
