The funniest part of all this is that I don't give a **** about Carol Danvers and I'm already rather critical of pro-military propaganda but the movie has so much stuff I find significantly more interesting and the MCU has sold me on characters I never cared for or outright didn't like. Sure it took Thor literally 5 movies to get there but it happened!

I know, but that's still directly relates to the movie. Some people will not go see the movie if they don't like Brie for whatever reason.

Imagine thinking the selling point of horror movies with monsters is the story and not the freaky monster who kills people.

If that were the case though the sequels would be considered better than the original.

And sure, the monster is part of the appeal, no arguement there. But what makes Alien such a good movie is everything built around that monster. Thinking the monster alone is what makes the movie great is the mindset that churns our so many ****ty monster movies. In the original there’s more to the movie than “sp00k monster”, there’s allegory to it that makes it all the more disturbing. Same goes for classsics such as Gojira. The monster’s the face of the movie, but there’s much more to it than monster runs around and kills stuff.

That's the beauty of adaptations.
When done right, they can actually improve a lot over the source material and fix some problems with it.

there's a few models of bravely second agnes from the ingame AR cutscenes but as far as I can tell this one from default (looking weirdly close to her original 2D art) is all new, and doesn't come from anywhere official
