Trying to plan ahead my annual shopping list for the Switch. I have the ideology of "multiplayer game can be purchased whenever, but single player games are a no-no until I finish the one I got"

Super Mario Odyssey came with the console. Quite the fun game, although I did think every level - conceptually - ended being samey despite the different environment interactions.
"Ground pound this!"
"Beat this boss!"
"Use an enemy to make this happen!"
"Do a skill to do this in time!"

Although I do respect the new things they did for it with this title, and some of the Moons are very challenging and fun to do regardless. Still think Galaxy is the definitive 3D Mario though. I will still play the post game but can treat it as a fun time killer from now on.

Smash and FighterZ for the multiplayer fix. Pick and up play games.

Going through Okami HD. Fun game, love exploring it and the land looks so vivid and vast. Makes me want to look at every nook and cranny.

So I have the following on THE list:

Definitely interested:

StarLink - don't care about the humans but playing a modernize Star Fox is too good to turn down. Need to know how long the SF segment is though.
Tropical Freeze - issue here is I spoiled myself the last 2-3 levels
Metroid Prime 4 and Luigi's Mansion - probably not coming out for a good while

Keen:

Resident Evil remakes - never fully played them, but did with cousin as a kid. Love me some Capcom.
Mortal Kombat 11 - waiting to see how it would play out on the joycons. Not entirely a fan of FighterZ's fluidity with the cons.
Final Fantasy VII - It's an event.
A Hat in Time - Looks very good. If for a good price I'm down.
Rocket League - love the sport and this seems so dope to play. Need to convince an online to get it too though.
Kirby Star Allies - tried the demo. It was fun! But I am holding out till I move in with girlfriend to enjoy it. Seems more fun with 2 players.

Persona 5 port (if it happens) - As above. We loved Catherine and Atlus are good at using tropes effectively for their characters. Also a sucker for games that allow you to tweak the narrative - no matter how asinine and/or ineffective it is.

Would purchase the Ace Attorney trilogy if they added a case or two somehow (doubtful!) although I haven't replayed the cases for a year or so. Maybe if it's on sale I'll get it again to support the series...again.

The next core Pokemon...really need to see what they do with it. Being on a more powerful system hopefully means more depth and content. Also a buffed co-op (you know...with difficulty altering dependent on how many players are there? hmm) would be very enticing on its own.

(Also hey if there's ever the pipedream Red Dead Redemption port I'm 100% in.)

Then I see people with the balls to claim the library is in drought. I have more games in consideration here than I owned on the Wii U! I'll always be behind damn it.

1. The energy crisis. If I could just flip a switch and suddenly have people stop using fossil fuels and immediately start using renewable energy (which is a huge oversimplification but for the sake of the question), I would. **** big oil and coal and natural gas barons.
2. I like where I am, for the most part, or at least somewhere like it. Nice historical town, equal parts forested and mountainous, and with a decent economy. Colder climate, but not too cold.
3. I'm terrible with names, as shown by my cat, Mama Cat, and her daughter John Newman. I'm thankful I didn't need to pick my own and I dread the day I have kids, if that ever happens.
4. Two parter. First something exciting and fun, followed by something cozy.
5. A flamingo. It was my first instinct when I thought of what animal was throwable. I wish it made more sense too. Plus flamingoes are awesome.
6. My username forces me to say an opossum.
7. For their sake I hope not.
8. Because banks import their money instead of growing their own.
9. Bigotry, ignorance, cruelty, being wholly unfit for a position of power and making a mockery of it, cults, and coal rollers.

Mama Cat was just what we called her before we took her in, because she was a stray who was hanging around by our house and she had kittens. But one of the kittens would never come out from under the house and was really hard to catch. So I just started going "Hello, Newman" as a Seinfeld reference since it was getting annoying at that point...only to find out my mom had been calling her John. So we combined the names only to find out after catching it that it was a girl. And at that point Mama Cat started responding to Mama Cat so we had no choice but to keep it as her name.

My favorite game of all time is probably Halo 2. The countless hours playing the custom games back in the day. Ah...memories.

Persona 5/Red Dead/Nier ports. I'd also be interested in KH3 and DMC4 if they were to happen. New Ninja Gaiden would be dope.
New F-Zero, modern Star Fox, good Paper Mario, new Strikers, and another 3D DK would be great for the first party line-up.

I'd love a Bully 2. Get on it Rockstar.
