Might I ask why? I'm curious, the show seems to inspire strong feelings of anger from some people, and I never understood why.

I've seen some pretty cool stuff from the fan community for MLP. Agrol and dSana make fantastic content.

I remember being in HIGH School when it started and now I’m in GRADUATE School.

Guess it proves if something is popular, the creators will try and run it a long time.

I was in 6th grade when it started.

I'm a college sophomore right now, but if the show goes on long enough this year, it might end when I'm a junior.

It's too bad the show won't make it 10 years, but I guess it had a better run than most would have expected it to have way back when.

No, it's the EN-US website that they found the supposed coding on. Which is the same on every website. So Reflect is on all 20-some versions of the site, as is Shizue. Etc. Chrono or Crono would be in the website coding. But when you look at the Fighter Pages, it will only show Crono to us(unless they decide to go with his Japanese spelling entirely in the English version of Smash, which is possible).


...No they're not? Shizue is her name in the coding. That's her Japanese name properly translated into English. Just like how Chrono is spelled in English. He was localized as Crono for a different reason. That has nothing to do with the actual Website's coding. At this point, it feels like it's entirely going over your head. I can't explain it better. But I'll try.

The website's coding does not match every single name that is displayed on every version of the site. When you click the English version of the site and go to the Fighter's section, it will always display Isabelle. However, the website's coding will always say Shizue. The website's coding, if this leak is true, will always say Chrono. His character name when you see it displayed on the website would still be Crono, however. They're extremely different things. Website coding =/= Website's actual displayed name. It makes perfect sense to use Chrono like many other names that use the Japanese one. It's the name he was supposed to have anyway. Localization just had an issue as is and was forced to adhere to the programming.

The thing is, Square aren't exactly unable to change the spelling of Crono's name at any point they want.

If they want to fix the spelling and make it "Chrono", then they are perfectly capable of doing so.

Aw man, I remember when I first saw it. I was probably nine years old, and I only watched it because Spike was in the trailer and I just saw HTTYD so I was obsessed with dragons. I stayed for the characters though, they're really good.

It'll be sad to see it go, especially after the insane (Both insane good and insane bad) fandom it spawned, but all good things must come to an end.

And I agree as well. There's no reason to believe they wouldn't go for Chrono as a name. They can do what they want. Both are possible names for the site. Though I think the English game will still use Crono, it could get updated.

I’m sitting in a hospital bakery eating some bread with my daughter while the wife has a post-surgery checkup. A couple next to us has a 5 month old child A year ago, my daughter was that age and I remember thinking how easy it will be when she’s older. Now she’s jumping and climbing and causing tons of mischief instead of just laying on her back and pooping and crying.

But it’s fun to be eating bread together. Her with apple juice and met with ice coffee.

Interesting day thus far. Worked for half a day and now this.

TBH while a part of me liked the idea of ending at season 10 instead, I kind of wonder if they'd have enough episode ideas for it. Every possible character combinations and morals have been explored through the show, IDW comics, and books at this point, I kind of think season 9 is a good place to stop. Their 200th episode will air this season and they're planning a big send off for it, I think it's the right time. I'm sad to see it go, but hey, I'd much rather they go out with dignity and quality than run the show into the ground.

Besides, for those like me who still enjoy G4 pony, the fan works will always be there, and they ain't stopping anytime soon. I myself definitely plan on enjoying some neat fanfics, comics, animations, and other cool stuff the fandom has for a while longer.

The thing with saying, “Why didn’t they announced Erdrick after spending 3 minutes on DQXI?!” It makes perfect sense and isn’t questionable.

Not only does Erdrick not show up in DQ11, that was a spot meant for a game from a 3rd party, and it’s a 3rd party who hasn’t always been on Nintendo consistently. While it is their IP, you don’t steal that thunder to say, “Hey, forget about that. Here’s Smash!”

While it’s not exactly the same thing, it would be like if Marth wasn’t in Smash, and when they did a presentation on Three Houses they were like, “Oh yeah, one more thing...” and then revealed Marth. It wouldn’t really make sense. It isn’t like just because Erdrick is also a Dragon Quest protagonist it make sense to follow up DQXI with him.

Frankly, I think the fact that they hyped it up as a “legendary RPG series” cemented my trust in the leak.

Not to mention, they got Smash out of the way by saying, “Stay tuned”. They weren’t going to reveal him after saying that.
