The thing with saying, “Why didn’t they announced Erdrick after spending 3 minutes on DQXI?!” It makes perfect sense and isn’t questionable.

Not only does Erdrick not show up in DQ11, that was a spot meant for a game from a 3rd party, and it’s a 3rd party who hasn’t always been on Nintendo consistently. While it is their IP, you don’t steal that thunder to say, “Hey, forget about that. Here’s Smash!”

While it’s not exactly the same thing, it would be like if Marth wasn’t in Smash, and when they did a presentation on Three Houses they were like, “Oh yeah, one more thing...” and then revealed Marth. It wouldn’t really make sense. It isn’t like just because Erdrick is also a Dragon Quest protagonist it make sense to follow up DQXI with him.

Frankly, I think the fact that they hyped it up as a “legendary RPG series” cemented my trust in the leak.

Not to mention, they got Smash out of the way by saying, “Stay tuned”. They weren’t going to reveal him after saying that.

The only DQ characters that would make sense to reveal were ones featured or prominent enough among the direct. Slime, for instance, shows up more than enough. So that timing could work.

Luminary too. Erdrick? Nope. Like, wasn't there only one DQ game he appeared in during the direct? I think there was Dragon Quest Builders, another DQ crossover, and 11? I forget what all of them were.

No, it's the EN-US website that they found the supposed coding on. Which is the same on every website. So Reflect is on all 20-some versions of the site, as is Shizue. Etc. Chrono or Crono would be in the website coding. But when you look at the Fighter Pages, it will only show Crono to us(unless they decide to go with his Japanese spelling entirely in the English version of Smash, which is possible).

And I agree as well. There's no reason to believe they wouldn't go for Chrono as a name. They can do what they want. Both are possible names for the site. Though I think the English game will still use Crono, it could get updated.

As far as I know, Brave doesn't fit Crono except in a super generic sense ("brave" and "hero" are pretty much synonyms in Japanese).

It's been a pretty long time since I played Chrono Trigger (at least a decade), and maybe there's some kind of connection I'm not remembering.

However, I can come up with an insane theory.

Maybe, just maybe, the revived video game that we heard rumours about yesterday is actually a Chrono Trigger remake; Nintendo/Sakurai were originally going to make Erdrick, but then before they started Square Enix convinced them to work on Crono instead.

Agumon is in my top 5 most wanted (and to be frank, the 2-4 slots (Tails, Tifa and Agumon) are all pretty much interchangeable in terms of placement), so I'd be happy to get at least one of my most wanted characters this game.

Y'know, if it wasn't for MLP I wouldn't want to make cartoons.

Dude, I honestly don't know if I would have tried drawing again without being inspired by Splatoon and MLP fan artists. DSana especially was a huge reason why I wanted to start drawing pony art.

MLP, along with Adventure Time and Regular Show, is also what made me interested in cartoons again. MLP is honestly one of those things I'll never forget, and I am very greatful for it. If I'm feeling down, it's one of the things I'll watch to just take it easy and feel better, and the unapologetic cuteness and wholesomeness is something I always loved. Assuming I ever go into game design some day, I can guarantee you it would influence my projects, and will be a source of inspiration for me for years to come.

As for 4chan, people should remember the Smash 4 Roster Leak came from there. 4chan has real likes more than often enough. It has tons of crap there too, but it is not a good reason to believe it's fake. Likewise, "I find it hard to believe" isn't great on its own. Same with being a text leak.

I also should note that the picture is intentionally a photoshop or them redoing the website coding to display the actual coded names in those particular slots. It's a manipulation just to show where the names would go. It is not meant to be an actual hard part of the leak(beyond the fact the website code exists, anyway) in the way people are taking it. But considering anybody can manipulate a website, it just means that they did just that. Photoshop, website manipulation, same difference at this point. Of course, if it's website manipulation, that could mean the files were real. But they're not hard to fabricate either anyway.

@Shishœ I do have a question, though; is there any real way to tie Crono to the word Brave? Even a slight stretch, like how Joker and Jack can be tied multiple ways? Cause Brave is pretty much Fighter 72 according to the coding. Though it is possible they could work on characters but release them later. So I don't know if it's really strong evidence to prove the leak fake.

Regular Show was the ****. Easily my favorite cartoon of this decade and satisfied it ended on a strong note rather then dragging it on unlike some shows like Spongebob, Simpsons and Family Guy which don't know when to end.
