I mean keep in mind we have enough food in this world to feed everyone and there is still poverty and hunger. :(
China has some socialism in it and it's economy has boomed in this century.
I just want a friendly form of socialism where everyone gets money and joy.
Coincidentally, China has thousands of people who are starving because its people are paid peanuts in sweatshops that require them to work long, stressful hours. A booming economy doesn't mean much if the right people aren't getting their money.

I just forgot about that, my apologies.

Still, socialism can be done right if there are smart leaders.

Actually, a whole bunch of them are pretty government-oriented but still pretty cool. They've got cheaper health care, education, paid leave, government safety nets, and high happiness and employment rates.
That whole "happiness" chart is wrong though.
Anyone can be happy.

Alright. So I came back around to seeing what Super Paper Mario is all about, thanks to Vinny. Childhood classic, after all.
I'm watching the end of Chapter 3. Y'know, the Francis part.

What ****ing drugs were Nintendo on.

I hope that this Link's Awakening remake retains the Color Dungeon. I don't see why it wouldn't, but I still feel apprehensive about that.

What?
How does that mean anything? Slaves could be happy, doesn't mean we should have them.
Happiness in a country is difficult to measure. That is all.
Also I hate slavery and colonialism.

Wait 'till he gets to Chapter 6 :yoshi:
LISTEN MAN.

WHEN "My first love was an anime character!" IS IN MY NINTENDO MARIO GAME, I IMMEDIATELY ASK FOR THE DRUGS NINTENDO TOOK BACK IN 2007.

HOW IS THIS PART STILL RELEVANT 12 YEARS LATER???

Super Paper Mario is among the funniest things to come out of the Mario series.

And this time it was intentional.

This tweet defends me.
In my opinion, we should have friendly socialism were everyone is happy and free and where it is easy to be healthy, creative and intelligent.
Also we should continue to invest in green energy and immediately ban fossil fuels as soon as we are able to.
Bro, have yall been to Vietnam?
**** suuuuuuuucks.
Interesting. I have never left the US before, so I am curious about how everyone lives in different countries.

Socialism never really worked in this world, but I would totally take socialism in the US over this terrible and failed capitalist system that we have in the US.
In terms of culture I think we're on the right path, but economically I think we have a long way to go. I want to keep government involvement to a minimum, but I also believe that the issues we currently face here in the US and many abroad can only be solved through an expansive planning. Many of the long term plans that gave rise to the US being a Super Power, for better or for worse in the rest of the world, in the mid-twentieth century were enacted on a bi-partisan basis.

For the sake of being re-elected, I believe politicians here in the US are too content with short term fixes rather than long term planning which I feel will only add to the eventual monetary cost and will result in greater political intervention.

An entirely capitalist nation will fail. An entirely socialist country will fail.

There are certain socialist functions in the US that work effectively. I am a supporter of certain socialist ideas, but an entirely socialist country is not what we should be looking for. Rather, the idea should be a country that is both socially and economically equitable for all.

It’s not so much that everyone earns the same or has the same, but that they have enough to love comfortably.

There’s also the fact that there seems to be humor found in the misfortunes of others, which frankly can be disgusting. The culture of the world at large needs to change from “What can you do for me?” To “What can we do, together?”

I guarantee if collaboration were more of an inherent presence within American Culture, we wouldn’t be in danger of not being the largest economy in the world.

But yeah. That’s what I think.
