Wow, so the only thing that was keeping me from getting Dragon Quest XI on PS4 or Xbox One was the fact that the composer Midi'd the ingame OST so he could sell the album on his own. And since I don't have a strong enough PC I wouldn't be able to mod it in. Lo and behold the Switch version gets shown off and they confirm the orchestral overhaul is going to be standard in it.

Really ****ing glad I waited.
I know, isnt it the best. And here I thought waiting for the game wouldnt be worth it

You come across whiny and entitled.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 was bad because they pushed the main female character that Marvel is pushing hardcore in advance of her movie next month! Oh my god. Fantastic Four FANTASTIC FOUR FANTASTIC FOUR.

Give. It. Time.

ALL

Captain Marvel is a great addition since she also appeared in the first Ultimate Alliance. I´m not mad about her.

And I will drop this talk because it just isn´t worth my time and the Direct was too good to think about UA3 now. I have great stuff to talk about instead like Dragon Quest XI S or Link´s Awakening.

I mean... I'm a little intrigued.

I might look into it, more, sometime in the future...
You can try the first one in the midtime if you are interested.

As someone who really only watches Directs for Smash news, I think the initial 'lack' of info has actually become quite interesting all things considered.

We have a blurry image which is probably a new mode, a rough idea when Joker's coming, and a SMASH-focused Direct is all but confirmed to be taking place within the next 2 months now.

All in all, while my initial impression was "This is boring", I think the most interesting part to me is what 'wasn't' there.

The new Starlink update looks hype.
I wonder if we will be able to play as Star Worlf in the future.

I also find a Pokémon Direct or something like that possible.

We have the same cold. Infection Brothers, unite and spread your disease.

Seriously though, sucks to be sick. Get well soon.

So uh

I’m hearing that DLC season pass characters will NOT have guidances...? PP was probably the sole exception cause they were made close to development’s end.

If that is also the case then if one of the new modes is a WoL expansion, it makes sense to drop them there

I'm kinda concerned about Platinum Games. They're working on Bayonetta 3, Granblue Fantasy Project Re:Link, and now Azure Chain. I hope this isn't too much for them.

Square is releasing a lot of dope stuff on Switch since the console launched.

Why do you think we have no news on Bayo 3?

EDIT: Isn't it Astral Chain?

Yeah, I know. I'm just saying, as much as I love Platinum, I can't shake the feeling they're biting off more than they can chew.

You didn't hear the news?

Cygames canned Platinum. They're no longer working on Re:Link and had their trademark removed from the game's website.

We have no idea what happened, but Cygames is SUPER protective of their IP.

Well damn. Color me surprised. That's one more job off the list. But what will Cygames do with Re:Link now though?

Make it in house I guess. They're stacked with cash due to running like a handful of gacha games.
Still, that's a massive **** move on their part. I seriously hope Cygames knows what they're doing with it now that they've pretty much fired the main developers of one of their big gaming titles.

Well, I guess my fears for Platinum have been settled then.

Good afternoon, guys. What did I miss? I did watch the Direct, but then I went right to sleep.
Not much, but we do have confirmation that the DLC characters won't have Paultena's Guidance conversations

I mean, it is and it isn't.

They're hyper protective of their IPs, it's really no different than someone like Marvel or DC handing off a game to a small studio, not seeing what they like and taking the development rights away.

Gotta keep that IP protected.

he also seems pretty adamant on the whole '5 fighters' thing so i'm really not expecting a second pass here

I mean, if the blurry screenshot from the Direct IS a Stage Builder, I fully expect a "Custom Stages" button to fill up that mysterious 109th spot on the Stage Select Screen.

Well, I feel sorry for the people that were excited for Re:Link then. It looked really impressive. But alas it is what unfortunately it is.

I didn't expect one from the start

If Joker takes this long, DLC team probably isn't that big and they won't be able to do much more than previous game's DLC.

That being said, if we do end up getting Stage Builder as DLC, it's pretty impressive on their part imo.

That is a little stupid in my opinion, I mean... Didn't Piranha Plant have Palutena Guidance?

I meeeeeeeeean, it is and isn't to be blunt.

The basic code of the Smash 4 one's already in the files. They'd probably just need to adjust it to make it more akin to Brawl's.

He only said “5 DLC fighters”, not “the 5 DLC fighters”...plus there’s more than six datamined slots
