You know "anime" is just a short way of saying "animation" in Japan, right? If you're using it, any sort of 2D animation made by a Japanese studio is considered to be an anime, it has nothing to do with style.

Eh, you're right. I was just too focused on how lately there have been a little... more anime. Maybe it just means nothing to me.

I don't know how.
Because I found it as one of the best ones made to this day, at least for me.

The Dragon Quest sections were pure gold and Link's Awakening trailer felt as something done with heart.

Aside from Batman: TAS in the 90's (and Animaniacs), all my favorite shows are anime; I don't think i can ever badmouth them. I mean, how do you badmouth anything that gives you the greatness that is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood?

I just love any kind of 2D animation, including anime.

Honestly I'm shocked that more people aren't shaking in their boots because Joker has a big knife, I thought we would've seen more "ANIME SWORD BAD" complaints

i've had some people say the knife looks too big like a sword but idk, he looks pretty identical to how he was in p5

well I mean
a lot of people have played Persona 5 and they're pretty sure he's not going to be a stereotypical "anime sword guy"

it's his primary weapon, used for all attacks - he pulls out his big ****ing gun for melee finishers and criticals, but otherwise it's all knife all night

A lot of people also saw that Corrin wasn't a typical anime sword person from their Smash reveal, and "anime sword bad" complaints were out in full force

I like Tetris Battle Royale but I don't know what I'm supposed to do against those gray blocks nor how to effectivelly avoid them. I'm losing games simply because whoops, ****ton of blocks outta nowhere **** you.
I'm gonna go play more of DXM now

Complaints about Joker can be found on less civilized forums and the chat for the Direct had a clear stance on “NO ANIME! IT’S STEALING MY DIRECT SLOTS!”.

yes but the difference is Corrin was the 4th Fire Emblem character revealed for Smash 4 (Including :ultroy:) and the people who complained were sick of the series

Minecraft is also great of course, and being the older brother it is he has a bit more knowledge.

Yeah but I'm specifically talking about the "generic swordsman" complaint rather then the "too much FE" complaint

Like it or not they're all pretty unique, echos notwithstanding

Imo, the amount of reps don't matter...

Just as long as the characters they're adding, bring something fun and unique to the table...

People who complain about a certain series having more reps than others, need to get their priorities straight...
