Good morning! Well, are more people believing that the April update 3.0.0 will bring Joker AND Erdrick (or whatever Brave may be)? We maybe getting a little smash direct to highlight them both?

I´d like a Smash Direct showcasing the new features, but getting both Joker and Brave at the same time? That would mean they were developing both at the same time, or they actually finished one of them and they were keeping them a secret until Joker was in development...

...And if it truly is Erdrick, that would mean the first developed DLC was Square, as some leaks told. I dunno anymore, but sign me up for 2 DLCs coming out at the same time.

I played some of the Yoshi demo and...I enjoyed it. I don't play many Yoshi games but Crafted World certainly has charm to it, it's so carefree and calm it's quite nice so I might pick it up sometime when it releases but I might not, I'll certainly consider it though.

Man, I loved the Direct a lot.
Everything shown looked dope, except UA3.

I really want to get Mario Maker 2, Link's Awakening, Dragon Quest Builders 2, DQXIS, Yoshi and the Snake and Simon amiibo.

oh no it's that holiday again, the dreaded Valentines day. It's fine and dandy for only half the population who have relationships but on the other half it's not fun feeling excluded, which I'm apart of the other half. I don't like Valentines.
I love Valentines day! You both get to be unabashedly cheese and no one's allowed to say boo.

This year, however, I am unattached, so tonight I have a very promising date with one of my most significant others, alcohol. Just gotta do the whole day part first. :teeth:

Also, its kinda weird how FE:TH´s special edition has a CD with the soundtrack and a calendar in one version and a USB with the soundtrack and some pins in the other. I think i like mine better tho, as long as the USB is usable.

Despite this Direct giving us very little concrete things for Smash, today in general gave us a lot.

1# Joker's done. We saw his model, and a few animations, if he's not done by now, or at the very least close to being finalized in the bug testing stages, something has gone horribly wrong.

2# Update 3.0.0 is on its way, and is promised to be 'substanial'.

3# Update 3.0.0 provided us with a never-before seen in-game menu. The menu currently does not exist within Ultimate, meaning it's 'some' form of new mode.

4# Sakurai confirmed via Famitsu column that the Fighter Pass characters will NOT get unique Palutena's Guidances. This more or less confirms that Piranha Plant was supposed to be our 'surprise' character of Ultimate, but time constraints happened.

Piranha Plant leaker back in September said he had tested Stage Builder, and he said there were 'other modes' that would be added, and I quote, "Day 1 as a patch."

While 3.0.0 may not be Day 1, it really does seem like we're getting some new mode(s) when the patch comes; that menu doesn't exist in the current game.

I don't believe that was his entrance animation, per se. Usually, the character enters, does a pose, and then enters their neutral idle pose. However, Joker jumped down and immediately entered his crouching position. I think it's probably his ledge drop with him then landing onto a platform underneath.

Well if nothing else they chose the right character to be prioritized lower, then released as optional free DLC.

Fair, I'll rectify that.

Regardless, I'd bet considerable money that Joker is in the very minor polishing and bug fix stages. He's two months away from launching.

That makes me wonder...

If Piranha Plant was completed in time to be released with the rest of the base roster, what would his cgi trailer have been?

Back from a day at work so I wanted to give my quick thoughts on the direct. Haven’t had time to go through dozens of pages.

-If you like JRPGs, this was the Direct for you. Jeez, one after the other after the other with very similar styles.
-If Joker’s render is done they should have shown us him from the front. I would have been alright as a Smash fan with just that.
-If Joker is coming out when they say he is, feels like Nintendo will do a short Smash direct to show his stuff, announce these 3.0.0 changes and the next DLC fighter.

Link's Awakening also looked dope, and I want to see how the Nintendo cameos look in this new remake.

Honestly, I feel like, if nothing else, Piranha Plant leaker is the most legit leaker out there right now.

I won't say it's impossible for him to be a fake, because he could have somehow seen the Direct back in September(It's very obvious they film these months in advance)

But on the chance he didn't? Yeah, he definitely playtested the game.

The Flyswatter assist?

Piranha Plant running around in a pot?

Incineroar's Alolan Whip?

Like, unless he really did have access to the Direct in September, which is a potential possibility, I think he's our best shot at what 3.0.0 could have.

Yeah, it is true that Smash will make the reception even better.
And fwiw if you look at the articles and the reactions to and about the Direct, DQ11 does not have a huge presence, despite Nintendo devoting a lot of time to it in the show.

These are the things that Smash will help rectify.

Everyone always craps on Dark Pit..le sigh..

Anyway, I was satisfied with today's Direct. Not a fan of Link's Awakening's new graphics..but its fine..Fire Emblem Three Houses looks amazing (hopefully no kids this time..It worked in Awakening because the story set up worked for it..Fates was forced..). I'm glad I waited for Dragon Quest XI since the Switch version looks like the best version, loving Super Mario Maker 2 already. I had to pick up Final Fantasy IX and it looks amazing even if just up-resed, Joker's model looked great (what we've seen of it) and I'm curious what else will come in this update since they they made a big deal out of it.

My biggest complaint about Link's Awakening is just.... it's a really, REALLY short game. There's 8(9 in DX) dungeons yeah, but besides the pictures, there's not a lot in the side quest department from what I remember, oh, and 1 trading chain, and the claw machine.

Which makes sense since it's a Gameboy game, but what I'm saying is:

If this is more or less going to be a 1:1 remake, it better not be the price of a full-on new game.

I just played through the Yoshi demo and I have to say...

If you haven't given it a shot, PLAY IT RIGHT NOW!!! Needless to say I love it, and considering this is the first stage and there's ALREADY some aspects of it that put it above many other Yoshi games is remarkable. I wasn't expecting several mission systems, even within the normal playthrough of the level. My only gripe with this demo is that there was only one level. Like, you couldn't squeeze in one or two extra in there Nintendo? Well, I guess it's a good thing as it means people who weren't all that interested before but wants to see what it's like doesn't have to invest a lot of time at least.

So yeah, it's great and you should play it if you haven't

I'd love too, but it's free. That's way out of my price range.
