Gold/Silver was the golden age ( -_- ) of pokemon games. It takes a little bit of time to warm up to the later generations, but once you do they are solid games. When Ruby/Sapphire came out I was disapproving at first, but I came to like them. And until recently I was adamantly against 4th gen pokemon. But now I am excited to finally get it.

And Jay, you got that right. Games like Super Metroid are still ****ing amazing. Hell, even going as far back as NES Megaman, those games kick *** too.

I always quit after the necklace too. And old school games are wayyyyyyy better than stuff nowdays.at least to me. It was just, press start and play. So simple. I don't like all this stuff you have to do now. I guess that makes me an ol' fart =P

Anyone who likes Melee you need to go play Super Metroid. It's the Melee of side scrolling games. Actually, it takes MORE tech skill than Melee even ..or maybe right on the same level.
