Lol that's really weird...you should just give them each the average of 20 and 15 being 17.5 a piece, but that's just how I'd do it.

point of a circuit is to promote the game and competitive play that is why i force ppl to play sets out.

Well I mean no one really remembered about this at spoc and even though it IS their fault I think they should just split the points now and from now on announce no splitting or else the points will be based on the tourney placings no matter what because the OP has nothing about that in it.

that exactly. Not my fault its theirs I am not here to cater to top players. I am here to help promote more people coming to tournaments and a competitive atmosphere.

Jman and I decided that the person who would officially take first would be the one who ended up playing the loser final set, and since Jman ended up playing it, he takes first at SPOC.

And no, neither of us care about the circuit points.

The event at the end sounds like it could be pretty cool.

@Plank: Jman is the current #1 in Tristate, and I wouldn't argue for it to be any other way. I'm perfectly happy with him being in that position and I want to keep it that way.

Well I'd be fine with it if it were in the OP and players were informed of that....what's the point of trying to drive players not to split if you don't tell them that splitting could result in one getting less points than the other?

Well maybe now that people know they'll start trying...but I doubt it since cactuar and jman obviously care less since they know how good they are anyways.

tbh they probably will never care but this is not about them it is about getting more people to enter tournaments and to create something special for them.

The people guaranteed spots at the top generally won't care about something like this. The interesting thing to watch will be the people fighting for the cutoff spots. Remember Azen fighting his way late season MLG to barely make the 8th spot qualifier and go to MLG Vegas? That was exciting as ****.

read the opening post we are basically making trophies for people for singles for first and doubles get some plaques.

bottom line idc about them. I care about the rest of the tristate the people that look for places to play. This is a chance for them to get excited about BOTH games and show support. IMO I'd force everyone to play it out to a degree. If they sandbagged i'd just give them even amounts and tell them not to waste my time. This is not a job this is a hobby and should be enjoyed as such. Unfortunately we have a bunch of morons in this community that take this game as a paycheck instead of doing what normal ppl do and go to school and work. Thats not directed at jman and tuar but it is directed at ppl with that mentality.
