At first I was kind of salty about the game, but now I'm accepting it better.
They already said that even though the game has some crossover aspects, it'll be mostly a brand new rpg with Persona's gameplay, and that's good enough for me already, even with all those...idol things.
I believe most people would be more accepting of the title if they hadn't uploaded that...rather misleading promo vid some years ago.
I didn't really post at all when I first joined the boards, hence why I have much fewer posts compared to other members who joined around the same time as me last year.
Can't really recall why I didn't post, I could guess it was all down to utter laziness.
Hey guys, can someone give he a summary of what the story is in FE: Fates Invisible Kingdom? I haven't read anything just in case I can across some major spoilers. Still trying hard to avoid them.
I do see your points though it does still make me salty about how people are treating Young Link. He is a popular character, but for some reason not a popular choice for Smash. Also, I 100% agree with about the Pichu bit. Not trying to hate the little guy, but how do some people think that Pichu has a better chance than Young Link? I reckon at the most they have the same chance. A the most.
Well, the problem with Young Link is that people don't see him as the potential that he has (being a completely own character based on other items in the Zelda franchise) but the clone that everyone thinks he'd become. It doesn't help that they didn't Luigify Toon Link, though I think IF Young Link would make it in, he'd get at least some changes to feel different, like Roy.
Last part of this post. For the guys getting Fates, which version are you planning on buying? If it gets released in the west (I really hope it does) I'm going to buy the Special Edition version. Hopefully, Fates will be released early 2016, otherwise I might cri
ALL the versions.
I'll probably start playing Hoshido, despite me leaning more towards Nohr as my faction of choice. I think I'll like the gameplay of Hoshido more, but I prefer the style of Nohr. If I played the game like Awakening, I'd probably start a new file after beating the game so I can make my 'proper' playthrough where I know what I'm doing and match the characters more effectively and stuff, so I'll probably just do that for my Nohr run instead.
Also Hoshido can't be as innocent as they claim to be. 'Cause that would be boring.
I'm most likely going to get both versions but I think I'm going to play Hoshido first. I like that Nohr has classic gameplay and such but since it is harder I don't want Hoshido to be too easy if I play Nohr first.
Yesterday Sunrise revealed a trailer for the newest entry in the Mobile Suit Gundam series, Iron-Blooded Orphans. Being the huge Gundam fan that I am, I'm pretty excited for this new series!

Yeah I can definitely see some inspiration from Wing. On the subject of Build Fighters, they've said that two OVA's are under works, one for each season, so it seems they aren't quite tired of BF yet. Whether or not the OVA's will conclude the series or leave them open for more sequels isn't clear yet.
I hate its style and art direction, I wasn't particularly impressed with what I saw from the gameplay either. I think my interest for it is pretty much null now.
Hey gorl, have you played any of the older games from the series? If not, I would HIGHLY recommend you do, though they might be hard to find and a bit pricey...
Fire Emblem is probably my second favourite video games series after the Tales series.
While I'm on this topic, here are my favourite things from FE. I'd love to hear everyone else's opinions!

I haven't played any of the older ones yet but I definitely want to! I'm most interested in Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn but they're ridiculously expensive so I'm kinda just like umm alright then...I definitely will get Fates though, probably the special edition as well
I'm aware that no character is actually "stealing a roster spot". My problem has more to do with the fact that there are actual multiples of the same character. Moveset clones/semi-clones are not an issue for me, because if they were, I'd also be complaining about Ganondorf, Roy, Lucas etc.
Like. There are people requesting Paper Mario and Young Link as DLC fighters. Even if they're only a few characters out of a 50+ roster, having three iterations of the same character is a bit too much, honestly. To each their own though, but that's just my thoughts.
Speaking of DLC fighters, you know who I wanna see? Impa. She's been a recurring character in the Zelda series (and Sheik is still a one-off!) and has played some sort of important role every time. I don't even care if she ends up being a moveset clone of Sheik, as long as she's in there, I will be happy.
When you think about it, even though Tink was introduced in Brawl as a replacement for Young Link, the fact that Tink is still a younger, more agile version of regular Link means that we technically haven't had a new (like new new) Zelda rep since Melee. And then you have Fire Emblem which now has the same amount of characters. Which is totally not a problem at all, god bless Fire Emblem. But I'd really like to see a new character from the Zelda series added to the roster.
I guess this is all just total bias on my part as a massive Zelda fan.
OMG Ben gorl I've wanted Impa forever. She's the only important Zelda character that isn't in Smash. She'd be super interesting if her moveset was based off of Hyrule Warriors since there's a lot to work with.
Accurate depiction of the fanbase's reaction to Illusionary Revelations # FE, including mine.
Anyways, I have long accepted that it wants to be something else. But for me personally, it still feels too much like Persona. If I wanted to play a Persona game, then I can just wait for Persona 5, which looks amazing. If I wanted Persona with idols, then I'd play Persona 4: Dancing All Night, or hell, just Persona 4. So I might have to pass on this game.
Since lots of other people are doing it, I'm gonna play through the older Fire Emblem games... starting right from the beginning.
"At first, there are Dark Dragon, Falcion Sword and..." (that's how it was written in the game)
I've never played the original before, only its remake, so this'll be interesting

Hey Robin players! We from the Ryu boards are making a doubles thread. The purpose of the thread is to find the best partner for Ryu. I'm going to invite as many people I can at once and get discussions going on all at once. We invite you to our dojo and hope you could help us discuss Robin and Ryu in doubles. Thank you in advance!
Hey guys! Sorry for being really quiet. I'm streaming my terrible disrespectdorf who I can't play for the life of me if anyone's interested! c: http://www.twitch.tv/sebdude198
He had some funny antics in his Iwata Asks and other streamings, it seems, and the one with him staring at bananas in a funny way became popular.
I think this is from the E3 in 2012, btw, but I believe he had this kind of thing in another vids already.
As to why bananas? I dunno. Maybe an internal joke at Nintendo or something.
