What can I say? Roy is mah boy! I've been playing as him since the DLC launched and I haven't looked back since. Nothing against Lucina, I still think she's a great character, but playing as Roy just feels so right for me!

In other news, I just had a (somewhat casual) interview for a graphic design internship at my older sister's place of work! Not only will I get to work on things remotely from their Adobe CS cloud account, it's gonna be a paid internship!!!
I'm just so happy and excited about this!

So I've been playing Nohr path. Am up to C.10.

Spoiler: Minor Gameplay Spoilers? No plot spoilers

Oh my god I love this game.

The map variety in Nohr kicks Awakening's ***, and the difficulty is JUST RIGHT. You have to actually PLAN, and there are costs/benefits to O.Stance vs. D.Stance and omg its so good.

I also already rushed to S support with Jakob because Jakob is carrying me. Literally. Straight from the battlefield into the bedroom, Jakob carries Kamui the whole way.

Kids are still accessed via Paralogue. Marrying Jakob gets me access to Kanna and Dia immediately. The paralogues don't look TOO difficult, but they have a handful of L. 1-2 promoted units, and I can't fill their unit capacity (I have room for like 3 more units?) so I'm holding off on trying to brute force them immediately. Going to finish C.10, which will give me Camilla, Belka and Luna to work with as well, then I should be able to attempt it.

God damn this game is amazing.

That's hurtful. I don't see the need to attack older fans just because Awakening wasn't what we hoped for. I don't dislike the game by any means but it certainly wasn't what I had come to expect from Fire Emblem. There's no need to mock us, though, is there?

Argheth said it well. It's by no means a shot to all long-time fans. It's poking at the people that complain about the amie features and say that people who started with Awakening are weeaboo trash. I know there's no one like that on this thread, but there are people like that all over other sites.

There are plenty of long-time fans that have no interest in the amie features, and simply plan on not using them instead of complaining about "what the series has come to". And they have my respect.

In my experience, Nino is basically an Est archetype: weak when you get her late-game, but stat growths to make grown men weep with jealousy. Seriously, she's up there with Sothe and Donnel in potential.

As far as censoring FE: Fates goes, I have to say, NIntendo is growing softer with each passing year. For example, Final Fantasy III (FF VI Advanced), one of the endgame bosses was censored in the US SNES release (Goddess from the Warring Triad). But when FF VI Advanced came out, the censorship was mostly removed. Just a thought.

If your Erk is doing fine, there's no reason to use Nino. There's also no real reason to use either over Pent, unless Erk got super-blessed.

Nino will give you great results IF you put the time into her, but with Pent already existing as an RNG-proof god, you have to really like Nino from a character perspective to justify allotting the resources to training her.
