I like how this conversation happens every time some generic fox player loses for once in their pitiful lives

we've been trained to think "oh dear that's a problem" the second someone actually goes toe-to-toe with fox in a major
I mean to be fair he's also saying he thinks spacies are too strong and should be toned down.

I think Diddy deserves to be #1 in more than one game at a time. nerf everyone but diddy

You guys should feel pretty lucky to see your characters win nationals

I wish I could watch other godlike toon links at high level tourneys do well/win so I could learn things. I love watching godlike melee marths because I can learn/steal things :(

How do you think Link players feel? There's not even a Lunchables for Links...

Actually considering this... I always hear how easy Link is to play. If this is so, why can no one play him anywhere near well enough to win events? If he is so easy to pick up, why has no one been able to optimize him? I ask because I want to know what it is I'm not doing, or doing wrong.

We need a really good Link to show us the way. Not Links that are pretty good and get by on matchup inexperience.

I would be happy just seeing my character win a tournament set.
RIP Ice Climbers :(

Although its possible for me to go to nationals, its still fairly difficult. Also I really like stealing things from other players like I did with 99% of my melee marth

I also stole like 80% of my roy from sethlon LOL

It's okay Lunchies my ROB was also 100% 99% original until a little while after I played oracle
Now I've stolen a bunch of stuff from watching our ditto over and over, and become this weird hybrid

Yo dude you don't need to steal ****

I legit believe that once you have the capacity to travel with a bit more flexibility we'll see you making top 3 at nationals and even winning them.

Speaking of which when's the super event that will bring all the relevant regions including the elusive SoCal and "we never travel" Texans to the same goddamned battleground to duke it out with every PM player of note.

[Also we legit need like a crew battle national or something yo]

Hi, don't know what people are talking about now, don't care. I'm tired and am assuming that people are jumping the M2K Ike is broken train.

But let's just remember, that no matter what M2K says, he has played this matchup with similar characters beforehand, and Ike has remained unchanged for the most part (as have his characters). Also, I gave him a laydown of every single Ike nerf to his recovery (man didn't know about the single wall jump or freefall quickdraw changes). Literally nothing has changed for either of their mains, so complaints are pretty pointless from M2K. Literally every complaint with Ike was already summed up by Lunchables, and M2K should have no say on it.

This is actually a lie. Ike can still do more than one wall jump. I have been lazy about it, but I was planning on making a video.

Disclaimer
Ike can do more than one walljump and I will tell you some of the ways that you can do these.

  1. Go for the wall jump, use a jump, and then you can do a wall jump again.
  2. You can do a side b wall jump, then do an aerial and wall jump again. I've done it maybe 5 er so times with just bair.
IKE CAN STILL CLIMB THE WALLS

Simple
  1. Get gud at wave bouncing.
  2. Go to wall.
  3. Side b wall jump>>>
  4. Then before you get to far away from the wall, start doing your climb ( start doing wave bounced side b's to climb the wall.)
  5. There is no cap on this.
I can make this a video for those who do not believe.

By easy to play, they probably just mean on a technical level.

He's definitely not auto-win or anything.

People don't do the multiple wall jumps because it's a one-frame window that will kill you if you mess up.

There are decent Links, they just lose to better/faster characters like Sheik and Fox.

I wanna see video of Ike wall climbing, it sounds neat.

Glad to see Zhime do well with Zelda still. I'm biased, but I think he should have won.

Emukillers unorthodox Marth was whooping on Junebug's Diddy... That was odd to me.

If it makes you feel any better, DVD JV5'd someone in his pool and the kid unplugged his controller and left the venue.

Do you not believe in your lord and savior, Lazarond?

Though me neither lately, cause he doesn't show up to events anymore damn it.

Now if there's a character that needs a lord and savior it's Olimar... Cause everyone wants to see Olimar win a national, right?

Wow this character salt from all those players, especially Mew2King as Fox player. I feel like you have to be more familiar with the matchups you play than most others to win PM majors. Like Ally, who just played Ike much better than he was played before and had also decent matchup knowledge, although I do not believe that he prepared every matchup in detail.
On the other side that means that you have to prepare every(!) matchup (maybe except for Olimar) if you play a character that is familiar to everyone, like most Melee top tiers/ high tiers. Otherwise there will always be the chance that you meet a character in bracket that you are not prepared for. And even then you are always running a risk meeting an opponent who is a beast at your matchup (better than he is at most matchups) while this is a matchup with average experience for you.
In PM seeding plays much more of a role and you could get 1st or not even top 8 with a different bracket. This makes me question the double elimination system in a game full of different matchups. I guess Swiss system deals better with this, but it has other disadvantages.

Sad that an amazing Luigi player who made it out of pools had to leave. We could've seen luigi actually do well for once in a national.
Although I understood his reasons for leaving, and that's fine.

Out of curiosity, what are your personal opinions on Sanic as a character and compared to other cast members?

I made a joke in late 2012 that he gets at least one major change per version for one reason or another, and boy, is that bet getting some mileage

pretty much nailed it. as long as sonic can make characters like MK or CF looks slow then he's a problem and will pretty much always be. atm the best strategy against sonic is to throw out moves and hope he runs into them while knowing its a bad strategy the entire time.

all sonic balancing should be based on realistic understandings of classic sonic games, wherein he's incredibly slow for the first second he's running
