He has way more than three angles lol
It has more than that just going forward, and he can do retreating blazers of different distances too

Really? I thought it was just regular, angled steeper but shorter, and retreating. I had no idea you could do retreating ones that are still shorter, damn thats so much flexibility but like zero distance.

Something I noticed in general is that people seem to choose characters because they either feel good or they are easy to learn based on the PM character popularity thread. Let's run down the top 10 popular characters list which is here http://smashboards.com/rankings/project-m/league/teams.
1. Fox: Movement feels great and fun to play as when mastered.
2. Marth: Movement feels great and easy to pick up.
3. Mario: Easy to pick up and fun to play.
4. Link: Easy to pick up and fun to play.
5. Sheik: Easy to pick up and movement feels good.
6. Meta Knight: Movement feels great and fun to play.
7. Ganon: Easy to pick up and fun to play.
8. Wolf: Movement feels great and fun to play.
9. Captain Falcon: Movement is excellent and is the manliest character.
10. Diddy: Easy to pick up and fun to play.
Also most of these characters do extremely well in tournament.

Blazer has a better vertical distance then Dolphin Slash

I get the johns about Roy's recovery, but honestly I think recoveries overall need to be toned down. In Roy's case just make him better onstage I guess

I don't know where those ranking are coming from but wow at fox winning by far the most tournaments. That is not sarcasm, he is most played according to that and universally considering best character but had no idea his results reflected that so strongly.

It's bizarre how successful Ganondorf has been. Maybe it's because I'm used to reading suggestions for anti-projectile buffs whenever he's brought up.

I would attribute it to the fact that the people who win the larger PM tourneys (M2k, zero, etc) have foxes from Melee that they are comfortable taking out for some MU's.

I'm actually really curious where all these foxes are coming from. I know fox's don't win that many tourneys in Md/va, Texas, Socal, AZ, Fl, Chicago, etc. They might be a lot of washington tourneys, maybe? I want to know what regions have so many foxes, because the ones that are most visable tend to not have more than 1 fox do well, and rarely win them.

There are no foxs that win tourneys in TX because we don't really have any foxs in DFW. Or falcos. I love it <3

Ya I don't think John/Disafter plays Fox in PM anymore, and I prefer Marth + friends in tourney, so that leaves Fox in a permanent GG status for DFW it looks like. Maybe if some more of the Melee guys come over to PM

Sethlon will un-retire his Marth if it came down to it. We don't like yer kind around here (Olimar players who aren't Lamar the Olimar)

Best thing to do to Sonic is just flat out remove him. The hassle of balancing that character is beyond hopeless, blame Sakurai for putting him in Brawl (kinda).

does that list include weeklies? because there are a couple scenes with good ganons that show up and pee on people.

but you don't see many ganons make it far in larger state or national tourneys, usually because the players there make his weaker neutral game and weakness to projectiles more apparent. it's possible to do well with ganon, but you basically have to hard read for everything : /

It's not possible if the character variety in tourney exceeds like 12 characters, which always happens for nationals and big regionals. This doesn't apply to MDVA though apparently:

Much
Diddy
Very
Annoying

I go on Facebook and read posts in the MDVA groups. Anytime someone wants to switch mains or doubts their character, the first response is "Pick Diddy". Scumbags lmfao </3

But that's not Wolf. Why would anyone suggest switching to a non-wolf character? Ever?

Lol. The hell it does.

Squirtles side B isn't a free recovery, doesn't extend combos, barely starts combos, can't kill in anyway, and is hella more predictable.

I have yet to see Withdraw extend combos. Ever.

I've seen it start combos, but the opponent has to be at a perfect percent from what I have seen.

As for the more predictable part, I meant as on relying on it. Withdraw is definitely more predictable if you rely on it to much while Spin Dash is far more reliable.

Tbh, the only thing that needs to be changed about sonic is his Nair knockback. Idk why, its just i find it crazy, it should be more of a "sex kick" (dont know if thats the right term for it) with knockback similar to Peach's. And yes spindash is more reliable than withdraw, but its fine imo.
Peach's nair is a kill move, you know?
At the very least you're knocked far offstage at reasonable percents.

lol did I say that Peach's nair isnt a kill move? If i did let me know. All i said that the knockback needs toning down to be similar to Peachs. Thats not saying "oh uh... i hate Sonic's nair, lets not make it a kill move and make it like Peach's" lmao
Sonic's Nair is fine though, the knockback is crazy when you get hit in the dead center as the damage weakens at the edges.
