It's a love/hate relationship with the tail. Sometimes I love how he can smack people with it from 10 miles away, and other times I just want to chop the damn thing off.

I played against a Mewtwo last night, and this was literally the ultimate reason I took him down. Falco laser spam held him in place for an unnecessarily long amount of time

It's not infinite in brawl. Very long and upwards of 100% yes, but not infinite.

There's no way to keep in a lot of the Brawl related CG's and tilt locks, because they interacted with the opponent with artificially high stun/hit a person without sending them into tumble/No possibility for DI. In Melee, this would be horrifying to have a lot of.

Like, in the case of CG's in Melee, you at least have the option of DI. If they can regrab you regardless of DI, so be it, but at least you were given that option. When Pikachu grabbed Fox in Brawl, or when Falco got a majority of the case, DI had no impact. Once the CG got too high, then you could DI and airdodge/attack quickly just like normal attacks.

He's already been nerfed to **** since his incarnation's 0-deaths alongside superb evasion. His arrows have been made nothing but worse with each update to them. He doesn't need to be nerfed even more.

Yeah Pit is in a good place atm.

Arrows were already nerfed a couple of patches ago and I feel the PMBR as a whole is pretty content with how pit is atm.

Just posting the top 8 characters here for reference, maybe as a starting point for tier list talk.

1) Pit (Armada)
2) Fox (M2K, with a splash of Marth/Mewtwo here and there.)
3) Fox (DEHF - DEHF also beat Fly, SFAT and a couple other notables at a 96-man SoCal tourney, as Falco.

NOTABLE: Mew2King cleaned DEHF's clock pretty thoroughly going all Mewtwo, 3-0.

4) Snake (Rolex)
5) Roy (Sethlon)
5) King Dedede (Fly Amanita)
7) Ike (Ally)
7) R.O.B (Oracle)

That's a pretty dang good spread. Obviously Fox is great, but I think his prevalence comes from players' 11 years of practice with him.

Pit is no better than 11th. I can not realistically see him above characters like MK or Lucas.

Real talk Zelda is higher than pit, but Zhime lost to Ally so there weren't as many johns about it.
I'm happy Fly made top 8, I kind of expected it though.
I was more surprised that Oracle made top 8 with ROB

Zelda is not higher than pit. everybody is sleeping on the angel even though he just won apex… He's a super solid character that can handle a wide spread of opponents. His only real weakness is crouch canceling, which the PMBR helped with last update by making his grab range longer.

Pit is no better than 11th. I can not realistically see him above characters like MK or Lucas.

Didn't see anything impressive from Lucas this tournament though... Pit could be Top 10 with his decent matchups against the Top Tiers.

People love to overrate Lucas because he can do tech skill stylee
proper use of your defensive options, particularly SDI really combats Lucas
I think he's good, but imo people putting him on the level of Wolf, MK, etc. be cray

This isn't really a tier list and if it was then it is a pretty bad one. You don't just take the results of one tournament and call that a tier list.

M2K's Marth skewered both Sethlon's Roy and Rolex's Snake, so that's a start. M2K just didn't use Marth that often. Not many people did, but if Dr. PeePee was in P:M brackets we'd be seeing some different results.

And while it tickles me to no end seeing Ike that high, this isn't an accurate tier list. Just a list of placements.

I think Pit is the best fair character by far. Even if his attacks deal more damage than they should... Very well designed if not for that.

Personally the biggest upset for me was not Fly making it that far, but Hungrybox getting KO'd by Axe's Pikachu. Mebbe more people will be encouraged to pick him up.
