Tier list alternative - Rate the characters! (experienced players only)

Can someone explain to me why fox is above kirby? To me kirby still seems like that pink ball of sheer cheapness with the highest priority attacks, easy shieldbreakercombo's and a cheap spike, while fox can combo people to death but only in hyrule and only if the opponent's di isn't perfect. Fox is near falcon for me, while kirby and pika are in their own league.

Foxs combos dont even need perfect DI to escape...

This was made by making a tier division every time the number drop was greater than 1.
Yes, high tier is huge, but this is based on the numbers. It seems like everyone just piled half the roster with higher numbers and tried to even it out among the lower tiers.

If you allow for more divisions, it looks like this:

Fox imo is better then kirby. Simply because kirby has no mind games involve, everybody knows how to fight kirby now. We just don't play much kirby players because they're no fun.

Every character has mindgames. Kirby, however, doesn't have a large variety of combos and approaches, which makes him fairly predictable. So Kirby is a bit limited in the mindgames he can do.

matt is right. Kirby may have ridiculous priority on his Fair, Dair, and Nair, but their hitboxes aren't really big at all and his horizontal movement is really slow, limiting him to not so much approaching but forced to be defensive by not letting his opponent outspace him and kirby has to pretty much stall in the air and not let himself get approached with a disadvantage. This is why kirby is a campy defensive character with not many options besides "outspace the opponent until you can land several utilts".

I'm flattered you took mine, since I said I knew it sucked. I made up stuff for Ness, DK, Jiggs, Luigi, and Yoshi. All I was thinking was:

Hmm, Luigi IMO is better than DK/Yoshi, so I'll put him above. Ness is pretty good, but IMO Falcon is better....above Mario. Jiggs ***** me once so I'll give her good points [just below Mario]. Link > Samus, and for DK/Yoshi, make something up. :D

Probably faster if used near the ground level but when it comes to use Ness second jump to spike high, its terrible.

Contradicted where? i was talking about the use of the move itself... It can be faster when used here but slower if you have to go there... you understand? So the point is, it has to be fast used there... (fast aerials n stuff)...

why does everyone underate jiggly so much, i may have overrated her to put her at second but putting her last aint fair. You guys probably nevr gave her a chance, she has an awesome arial game and has great combo ability. And i think the tier i made has been totally thrown up in the air since i discovered i love using all the characters equally and can use all of them to very good effect(apart from mario bros.)

Jiggs has an easy to moderately easy 0 to death even with DI against basically every character using either throws and aerials or short hop down air combos.
Top Jiggles (xD) also use pound in such a way

The only problems I have ever seen for jigglypuff is her moderately bad approach vs. projectile characters, her bad combos vs floaties and her awful weight. (Fox's up smash and Mario's Up Smash is too good).
Jigglypuff actually has 0 to deaths easily vs both Kirby and Pikachu, which are vs two of the top 3 characters. Falcon has a problem trying to 0 to death Jiggs.

i can agree with most of this, pikas Usmash fixes Jiggly too with Thunder....plus with jigglies ****ty horizontal recovery simple edge gaurding works wonders
