haha, thanks dave...I can't wait to get a REAL match of my Ness recorded. I was almost cringing watching this vid because of the way I was, or wasn't hah, moving. Before I saw the vid and said how it wasn't a serious match in the least and that neither of us even TREID [cmon, you see all those upB's and dairs from Link?], I had NO idea just how little we actually were trying. Thank god it's posted in the comedy section and people don't think it's a real match =D Although how hilarious would that be, if I got a match recorded tomorrow at my smashfest, and then I point out that the Bombpie Vs. YYG video was recorded only 4 days before that, and then people are like ZOMG YOUR LEVEL OF IMPROVEMENT'S CRAZY!

at 2:53, I was throwing out the PKFire and it hadn't come out yet, just the spark when I start the move...and it hit the boomerang away. any thoughts?

no I already knew that. did you see the part in the vid I'm talking about? the PKFire itself didn't stop the boomerang, it hadn't even come out yet! as Ness's hands pull back or whatever happens as he's about to say PKFire, THAT'S when I hit the boomerang ...and then shot the PKFire at him. so it wasn't the fire itself that stopped it. anyone know if it was a fluke or if they've experienced a similar incident?

i'm guessing it was the pkfire, just invisible/not out at that point.
try pkfiring fullycharged samus neutral b's, pk fire eats it and keeps going..

pk fire will break any other projectile from another character...it will even break sheik's needles(if only it could be fired as fast!), link's arrows, and pk thunder/laser type things that normally cant be hit at all with the exception of PK Flash, Din's Fire, and Oil Panic(which really doesnt count as a projectile...and im pretty sure none of those last 3 can be broken by anything nor can they break other attacks themselves)

but yeah...you can actually use PK Fire to break one of Samus' missiles, then at the strongest point of the fire pillar it will also block a fully charged B from Samus...watch out tho...while PK Fire slices thru projectiles the lifespan of the bolt get cut shorter and shorter the more damage it takes before it reaches a target to set on fire, so if a strong enough melee attack from a disjointed hitbox with great enough distance from a hitable target like say....marth's tipper fsmash...hits the bolt then it will run out of life when it reaches marth and no fire will start

thanks...I've just never seen the property of the pkfire start before the actual fire came out...and usually, a boomerang will trigger a fire pillar...I might have to try timing that against Link/YLink more often...and yeah, I love using PKFire against ALL of Samus's weapons [esp bombs]

Pk fire starts when the flash thing is shown (I think). I'll check it tonight with Ar.

if by that u mean it has the red standard-attack hitbox surrounded by a shell of orange lifespan-attack hitbox then yeah it does...as well as arrows and bombs from both Links

I REALLY NEED A WRITEUP ON THE GaW and Ice Climbers. There's nothing on them at all and GaW is a Ness counter from what I've heard (and somewhat experienced...). I haven't played enough matches with a good IC's to know anything about the matchup (except that Ness owns the air and IC's own the ground...). Please help everybody!

Well I would help better but no one I know plays this game anymore (the last person that was willing to play with me got MAD at me ok)... However I do know this about the IC... Don't grab them unless you use a down throw... the Fire can hurt the partner as well (Prevents the partner from taking you out of the grab)

PK fire is good on IC because the Partner doesn't know how to get out...

For GaW well His normal A in the Air hurts you a lot (it goes through everything)... GaW can use his V + B on Ness very well so you might want to stay away from trying to hit him with PSI...

Hope this helps a bit...

do you mean you literally cannot edit it, or is it just difficult?
if you haven't already done so, copy your post into microsoft Word; it should be easier to edit it.

hahaha, not trying to start any sort of E-flame-war or anything like that...that's awesome that you loved Daft Punk back then [and I can totally relate to being laughed at back in the day], but man, I remember in 8th grade [10 years ago] I'd be blastin the cd Homework and people thought I was crazy [like when I would pick Ness! oooh on-topic tie-in >_>]

just a small bit of info for those who might have heard Daft Punk and either sorta like or don't quite get what's so amazing about them:
if you ever hear words in a Daft Punk song [except for one song, I think off of the latest album, don't remember which song]: NO ONE IS SAYING THEM. They take..just.........sound. and manipulate it to SOUND like words. Everything from "One More Time", "Harder Better Faster Stronger" to "Around the World". All of that is augmented digital sound and not an actual person. Verdict: Daft Punk is amazing.
